A&M probably has more sidewalks than any SEC school not named Alabama

The fact that you actually believe this shows how little you know about college sports in Texas.

A&M usually has a LOT of haters. And we do our share of hating on the other Texas schools. No one gets along. So when one school is garnering any sort of attention, it's magnified because haters are always tuned in hoping for a fall from grace.

As far as true sidewalk fans go, A&M typically doesn't have that many. Especially when compared to the average SEC fanbase.

Not that I have anything against sidewalk fans, though. I welcome them.

I'm glad you just replied with "leave, then!" rather than trying to actually pretend as though there is an even-handed moderation of the board.

Why in the world would that thread get deleted? It was about an SEC player who would have been a 1st round pick in all likelihood, but now has decided to play football where he could have a Manziel-like impact on the team.

Actually, given the events that were sparked by the incident at the Alamo, I think that's exactly what we'd want, no?

Setting aside for the moment that your title says "MarketS", and yet you only list one market, the glaring omission is who the other 58% of college football fans in Houston are...

Did you fail to read the part where the same thing is occurring in Dallas/Ft. Worth market?

Umm... the OP did. The referenced Nielsen article only mentions Houston and Dallas. As someone else has already mentioned, A&M routinely beats Texas for viewers in Austin, which makes Aggies everywhere giddy.

Being in the SEC is helping A&M's popularity....shocking

Despite that we were told by our benevolent friends that A&M would not benefit from the conf move

Clay is trolling the Big XII fans. No reason for LSU fan to get upset about it, tho...

The Aggies should have escaped Texas back when Arkansas did. Life is so much better without having to drag the dead weight of the Whorns around.

It's mind-bottling that the corndogs are so overwrought with fear and feelings of inadequacy that they would delete such a thread.

I disagree. I don't think ATM is any more popular since affiliating with the SEC. I actually dislike them more now.
