Suh was elite in college, I dunno about Fairley. My point is elite players are defined by production and not "causing violence on the field" or whatever intangible you want to qualify it with.

We have had a serious lack of quality depth on defense for a while under several different coaching regimes, and in most years we have been soft on defense as well. That is the coaching staff's fault and not Von Miller or Myles Garrett's.

all the elite players - suh, bosa, jon allen, ashawin robinson, sergio kindel, any LBer from OU 99-05 were all surrounded by good to great talent and not just a quality safety (like watts/evans) to bail them out.
