Is that supposed to be a joke/troll?
The SEC is the joke, they picked him not me.

Still, if as you say he did nothing after Q1, over 200 yards in one quarter is pretty sporty.

As much credit as he gets for his adjustment, the first quarter is entirely on Chavis for coming out in nickel. As soon as Richard Moore got in the game shite calmed down.

We came out in the nickel bc we don't have the linebackers. Alabama is our worst matchup all year. Followed by LSU.

Even throwing pick sixes it was an 8-11 pt deficit most of the game. Allen keeps the ball down once or twice and you're talking about a potential classic game.

I honestly feel better about this team now than I did going in to the Bama game.

We have linebackers, they're just fish and Chavis didn't trust them enough. Which I can understand, but it was clear as the game progressed that a fish LB was a better choice against Bama than a seasoned nickel.

I've heard this a couple times. Moore was in on the first drive of the game.

I need to go back and watch, but just from seeing it live and not overly focusing on the LBs, it comes to a big shock to me that these 2 are our most successful LBs.

Lol they aren't. A poster said we didn't have the linebackers necessary to come out in a 4-3 set to start the game and I was replying that those two would beg to differ bc when they came in they held up pretty well.

So who came in when we switched to base defense to put out the fire? George?

The coaches clearly didn't think we had the horses to play in a 4-3, which is why we came out in nickel and bled for a whole half. But as it turns out, we were better off in 4-3, though that was contrary to the expectations of our own coaches.

Right, it wasn't any specific player. We rotate quite a bit so I'm sure most/all of the players had already seen the field in the game. It was the personnel group that changed.

Don't take what the tv announcers say as fact . Most everything they said was incorrect or misleading.

Here's a condensed game replay. I thought I spotted Moore even sooner in the full broadcast but just spotted him around the 1:40 (youtube time) mark as Bama runs a play around mid field.

I actually do, too. I think we go 10-1 heading into Baton Rouge.

I completely agree with that. Last year's team would have quit when they were down so much so quickly but this team kept fighting till the fourth quarter.
