I talk to enough of them and lurk enough on their forums to know that their current coping mechanism is the same one they have used since 2009: They are eating yet another QB alive.

I have to hold down laughter when they tell me that Texas would be a 9 or 10 win team with a better QB than Swoopes.

Latest news; Clarington is now academically ineligible due to his ACT score not being certified and the next test is on the final day of registration. I think that leaves Davis from the "Florida Five".

Their offense is going to be awful. Ketch is saying there's a good chance that they start 2 fish on the OL, and unless their last names are Joeckel and Matthews, that's a really, really bad thing for horn fans (and honestly, even those two took their licks fish year). If the horns have any injuries, that OL is gonna go from very bad to putrid, and Swoopes ain't exactly the kind of QB that can compensate for a poor OL. Oh and they've randomly decided to switch to an Ohio State/Auburn power run-first spread, which is a system that none of their coaching staff has any experience with.

If that's not funny enough, supposedly the offense is running the ball down the defense's throat in practice. Again, that's behind an absolutely dogshit OL. That should tell you how they're adjusting to the loss of their NFL-caliber DTs (not well) and how ready the guys behind them are for D-1 football (they aren't).

It's going to be glorious. Their offense is going to be every bit as bad as last year's (and possibly worse) and their D is probably going to take a step back as well since they're missing a few studs up front.

From what I just read, in practice the OL is dominating. Look for the new offensive scheme to get Texas back to their rightful spot in the Big XII

Could not have happened to a better bunch of delusional "fans"!

I'm looking forward to their season.

One of those fish is Patrick Vahe. He may only be a freshman, but he's a grown-arse man. Dude looks 30. They're still going to suck, but the 2 freshmen on the OL won't be the reason.

Size + strength are only the first requirements. After checking off those boxes, a guy on the OL all has to learn the myriad plays, proper technique, and all of his buddy's tendencies so that he can adjust and, when necessary, compensate.

Again, Joeckel and Matthews were as prepped as a fish OL could be coming into college and even they took their licks fish year.

Saw some Horn who is normally pretty smart wondering how Kyle Allen was trending on twitter today, even though he was expected to be named starter all along.

Dumbasses still don't get it.
