Is there any word if the monsoons have thrown the builders off schedule?

I'm sure the field portion looks like an ancient coliseum that's been flooded to support a naval battle.

It seems they were a bit ahead of schedule before the deluge, so I think we're still sitting pretty

I'm pissed, seems that group 2 and 3 are gonna suck up some really nice seats
I didn't register because because I didn't think there would be much of an opportunity for improvement and I was relatively happy with my seats originally.

It is going to be sooooo intimidating. Really didn't realize how wide open the old Kyle layout was until now. WOW!!!

On projects like this weather doesn't stop work, when it gets to bad you wait it out til it stops, pump the water out and keep on keeping on.

The company I work hasn't missed a day on anything except 3 bridges we are trying to finish up and that's only because the state says we can't work until the water goes down to x level

Does it bother anyone else that there's nothing symmetrical about the new Kyle field? I was just noticing how the first decks on the east and west side are not the same width. That's just one of several things I've noticed and it's really messing with my OCD!

It will look fine when folks are in it. Are you on TexAgs? Lots of discussion on the topic in the Kyle field thread. All expanded stadiums have the same issue.

Yes. It drives me crazy looking at it empty, but with people in the stands I guess it will look alright.

Ultimately I don't really care how it looks on the inside, only how it sounds and feels. I want that place to be scary loud and feel like the fans are on top of the field. Also, I'd like to win a conference home game this year.

I love that college stadiums aren't symmetrical. It shows the history.

Tiger Stadium has a section of the stadium that was built with money allocated for dorms. They built dorms into the stadium. Gotta love Louisiana politics. You can still see the windows (all broken) from outside the stadium.

My dad lived in those dorms in the late '60s. He has some wild stories from his time in them, as you can imagine. The fact that they were built as a "compromise" between the president of the University and none other than The Kingfish himself, Huey Long, just makes the whole legend of the stadium expansion funded by dorm-building even better.

It looks like we riced out the student section. I like it, it is a testament to the 12th man
