You know, when the owner fires the GM, the coach is officially on notice.

Sometimes it is cheaper to fire an AD, than a coach.

indifferent. Hyman was a problem, not the problem.

I hope Jason Cook gets an opportunity to take the job.

At least now the baseball team might have a shot at a national seed.

You can't have this moment happen then not excited. It's okay to bask for a little bit

Probably a good move but you were right to a certain point. I do think that the AD is the primary "Seller" of the contract/extension, etc... He has to agree to it and then let the folks that write the check know why it is a good deal. He gets it done or blocks it.

To that exent, Hyman owned Sumlins contract.

And usually one happens before the other.

That is what I told LSU fans all season, if you don't have faith in your AD then why do you want to fire the coach? The AD has to hire the replacement.

I hope this time we don't get a guy on a homecoming lap. I would love to steal Oregon's AD so that way the runway for a Chip hire is cleared.

I don't get excited about things that are necessary but unpleasant.

Ask yourself this question.

Would John Sharp hire an individual that he forced out just over a year ago?

I don't think they're connected in the sense he's about get fired or something, but as far as the whole stability thing for recruits and assistants it looks REALLY bad we've entered full blown dumpster fire mode at this point
