I wouldn’t lose too much sleep over it. Jimbo hasn’t given us a reason to doubt him yet, he’ll make the right moves. We just get to sit back and watch
I just think people need to prepare for a step back next year. Not a crazy one, but one nonetheless where we probably go like 9-3 just simply due to breaking in a new qb and line

But we should be ready to fricking rumble for 2022

Mond has been better every year, however he has only shown his best self a handful of times out of the 40+ games played. The team has had to cover for him more than he’s setup the team for success. (Like a Joe Flacco). I hope he finds success in the NFL.

I agree. We should take a step back. But who’s stepping up and beating us? Lsu-maybe? I doubt Auburn is good to go right off the bat. Mizzou is fine. State will get better but that much, I doubt it. Zero worry about U of SC. At this point I really think 10-2 (6-2) is the # next year.

I think the schedule is going to be critical next year. If we get some easier games early then we can break in some of the new guys and be rolling by seasons end.

Aaron Hansford accepted an invite to the Senior Bowl so I guess he's gone.

He was academically ineligible for the bowl game as well. I guess he just stopped going to class? I’m kind of surprised but we have quality behind him at LB

Going to see the future next year.

I also think the OL will be better than many here think. The younger guys have been in the system for awhile, which was different under Henson than prior. Unless I'm just wrong (possible), the backup OL looked pretty damned good in the blowouts.

Will we take a step back? Maybe, maybe not. Alabama will also be reloading, as will half of the SEC. Ole Miss and LSU will be the hardest games IMO for different reasons

We are going to be young next year at many, many spots

I think the OL could struggle, especially relative to the veteran group this year, at the outset. I think it’s inevitable when you have so many new faces and a guy like Green likely switching positions. There’s a lot of talent though with the potential to look really good by the end of next year.

At LB I honestly feel pretty good about White and probably Cooper from the start. It will be White’s third year on campus and he’s played plenty. And Cooper is one of the most talented LB recruits we’ve brought in in a long time I think

This was what I thought this year when Tua left..

Alabama reloading at OL, WR, RB, QB, etc ... they are going to be younger next year as well. Honestly, I think OM and LSU are the best set up for next year in the West. We will have some struggles at OL, but just a better QB to deal with it all.

2021 will still be good, but 2022 could be special. We are still one or two classes away from a solid plug-n-play pipeline

I really don’t have any expectations for next year right now. Hopefully they get a full spring and fall camp, that could help a lot with the growing pains. I’m just in wait and see mode but I trust the coaching staff to get the team right

Set up to what? Win the west? Over Bama? naaaaah

Be over .500 and complete with us for #2? Sure, why not.

None of them are coming back, not one of the OL. That is okay, because we have to eventually start the youngsters. Young OL that are SIGNIFICANTLY higher rated the the senior starters. I'd even expect Foster to start at guard next year

Our record next year will depend on the schedule. I'm hoping it is back-loaded as the young OL will need time and reps working together

He didn't mention anything specific because so far everything that has happened was expected. Also declaring for the draft doesn't mean you will be drafted or picked up so theres always a chance a guy or two could come back.

FWIW, Kellen Mond just tweeted eyeball emojis. Same thing Peedy did before announcing his return.

It's a weird feeling to be appreciative of what he did for A&M and what he accomplished during his time here while also being relieved that he is heading to the NFL.

I'm excited to see what Haynes King can do. I think he will spread the ball around more and we will have more big play potential with him.

About sums it up. Glad he isn't coming back, especially breaking in a new OL
