Agree. I was just being an a-hole.

I agree, but legally it would probably only be bad faith if he entered th contract not intending to perform his duties while under the agreement or not intending to pay th buyout if he could no longer perform hi duties because he entered into a competing agreement.

To me, this means Durkin is the guy. It could also obviously apply to chavis or even foster, but this sounds like Durkin based on Sumlin's comments that I saw:

quote:

I've been told by two very reliable sources that a hire has been made and Kevin Sumlin has his man. Whether we're talking about a signed, sealed and delivered contract or not is not confirmed but what I have heard (again, from more than one trusted, plugged-in source) is that Sumlin has made his choice and that particular Defensive Coordinator has agreed to accept the job. I'll have more as this story develops (including working to get the all-important name, of course) but wanted to pass along what is some pretty significant, stand-alone info before kickoff. It's also a piece of information that would certainly help explain Sumlin's comments and demeanor during yesterday's Liberty Bowl press session.

?de quien es este? And why does it make you think Durkin as opposed to, well, anyone? Seems like incredibly generic info

and pointed out to me - we may just have told Moore to hold off to give a quick commit after announcing the hire

Based on Sumlins comments about contractual issues yesterday.

Again, language of the contract could be in play there, where he can't make an official announcement until the contract expires. To me it makes the most sense that Durkin would have certain contractual limitations until his game was over.

I have a little insight on these contracts because I actually worked at the TAMU System General Counsel's office during all of the major Fran/Sherman coaching changes. It's insane the small details that are in these contracts and the funniest thing is none of them are the same, even within the same university athletic department.

Saw on twitter that Durkin is going to Mich. Don't know how true it is.

Anyone think Venerbles is still on the table? That defense has shut down OU.

Hop pretty much guaranteed it will be one of Durkin, Chavis, or Foster. Said no one else is even on the short list. I have no clue how they supposedly know that.

Could you imagine what this place will be like if it's Chavis and they lose to ND. This would rival 21-0 or when Landon Collins committed to Bama

If it's Chavis, I honestly think we all need to be uniform in our trolling efforts. I don't want tRant to breathe until National Signing Day

Probably so, but if true there should be leaks tonight. No one can keep their yaps shut in our AD which is why Sumlin handled it the way he did I guess
