Arkansas will be much tougher than MSU IMO. Arkansas fans travel REALLY well to Dallas when they are decent and their strengths play right into our weaknesses.

MSU will be a less explosive version of what we were in 2013, a great QB carrying an inexperienced offense and a below average defense.

I'm scared for the Arky game.

Chavis vs. Bert will be a chess match.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I don't think Ark is going to be great. I see a 7-5 type year. State will be better than them due to Dak alone. He's a talented guy.

They werent great last year, didnt stop them from kicking our asses for about 50 minutes of gametime. If we had played them in November, they would have beaten us by a lot.

IMO you're right about the transplants, and you're right about technically not joking about it.

But I can't say I would have taken the same chance as you and followed through with posting, my last ban seemed like a god damn eternity.

I figured I'd get ahead of the curve and start my own help board thread. I'll either prove a point or get banned by tomorrow.

This could be it for this AggyArk member.

I might get banned for my next response to cas4t in the help thread. In the event that I do, it was nice knowing you guys. I'll be watching threads daily to see you keep trolling corndogs.

Don't buy into that myth

Arkansas went 6-6 in the regular season and 2-2 in November including losing their last game to Mizzou (and honestly pummeled by stats). They did win their only 2 SEC games that month, both at home, both to offensively challenged schools.

But the Hogs were pretty consistent all year in shutting down traditional offenses. Their best showing of the season may well have been vs Alabama, who they held to 227 yards of offense but fell to 14-13. That game was not year end, it was in fact their very next following us.

I think the idea that they greatly improved is entirely a myth. Schedule had the most to do with it (as well as Bad Bo showing up for OM)

Their strength was the defense too.. They lost 5 draft picks from that side of the ball, or the same amount of talent we've lost on that side in like 5 years.

Also think that if our offense is clicking at the start of the game, they'll have a lot of trouble keeping up... We could take them out of their comfort zone pretty quickly

Agree with T-Bird 100% on this.

Arky is the least favorable of our first 5 games and I am not optimistic about a win.

Ags of the Ark I think are generally in agreement and don't bullshite about last season's Arky game. If we had played them late in the season they would have smoked us.

I'm not scared of State. They could beat us - Dak gives them the potential to be dangerous to anyone with the right bounces of the ball - but they're *massively* depleted by graduation and the draft.

They lost 5 defensive starters? Or am I misunderstanding this?

2015 Arky Draftees

Sorry, 4 on defense. They ran their whole defense through flowers, Philon, and speight. They called them the Bermuda Triangle and had segments about them during games.
