Just started my new job today!
The majority of my income for the next couple of years will go towards student loans.

What line of work are you in?

Debts may be high but it was all worth it!

If it makes you feel any better, by the time I'm done I'll be well over 100k in debt and be paying off loans into my late 30s.

It depends. I have student loans, parent loans (Which I'll be responsible for paying), and one loan with an incredibly high interest rate from before the govt. took control over loans in 2010.
The last one has $5,000 interest on a $12,000 loan in only 5 years.

Holy shite, gents. I'm going to quit my bitching about mine. Mines small potatoes compared to y'all.

Can't you get that loan refinanced or something. That seems unreal. Did you take money from a mobster or something?

Yeah, I'm trying to figure out the best way to take care of them. I'd like to refinance under a consolidation loan, but those are normally long-term. I want these done with as soon as possible.

I understand you want them going but I highly doubt any bank or whoever gives you the loan will refuse your early repayment.
