When I read that Summer 2013 SI article, I had a really weird feeling, because it was a weird article. But now it looks amazingly prescient.

That guy was such a beast last night. You could argue he won that Super Bowl for Denver.

Did that LSU-Longhorn hybrid troll Patagonia get banned??? I pushed that dude's buttons like a fat kid pushes keys on a keyboard playing World of Warcraft! So easy to rile him up.

Probably finally got outed as an alter. Probably Jack Daniels'

I've had the same thoughts. I hope he finds peace and can get it all straight. But I am seriously worried about it right now.

As off-topic as it gets. My son sent me this pic today from Berkeley. Zoom in and admire the various features of this guy's outfit. He's got it goin' on. Extra points for anyone who can explain what the hell that is on top of his head.

Your reactionary conservative wingnut arse sent his son to fricking Berkeley?

Those Berkeley hippies don't play. Those frickers screamed at me for no reason when I went up there and tried to hit up their bar scene. I swear, I wanted to click my heels three times and wake up in College Station.

He's 28, a bit old for me to be "sending" him anywhere. He moved to CA I think mostly to get away from his reactionary conservative wingnut dad. Whatever, I'm glad he's taking life a bit more seriously now.

I'm glad he's there, honestly. And I know what that means. But he hasn't gone to the dark side yet. The previous message I got from him was, "Can't wait to get this Cal degree and get the heck away from this strange place."

Well,
1) he is getting a legit degree from a really really good school.
and
2) He was high on marijuana when he sent you that text

Since the 3 of us seem to enjoy making fun of hippies, here's another for your entertainment:
That's his bulldog. "Vegetarian pet store. This is the world I'm living in."
What the what???

I'm now going to call out SDVTiger on every single post he makes because he claimed that you were "fake army".

That is an American bulldog, not a Bulldog proper. And WTF is a Vegan pet food store? The fact that it exists makes me legitimately angry. That shite wouldn't fly in Texas

Even the dog looks sad!

Breaks my heart looking at his eyes. He knows he is in a terrible place.

Yes, I didn't know we had bulldog aficionados here or I would have been more specific.

That's pretty much the point, ain't it. I have no idea how they can think this is a good idea. "Hey gang, let's screw with a few million years of evolution and teach dogs that meat is bad."
But it doesn't stop there. We could start a new thread titled "The crazy crap Daniel sees at Berkeley every day" and it would never run dry.

Never fear. She's in good hands.
Though walking her past that store could be used for discipline.
ETA: Oops. She, not he.

Easily my favorite breed of dog. I own an English (proper) Bulldog. Stoic as hell. Tougher than nails. Gassier than John Belushi.

She's a fine dog. But
I'm close to shocked that you're referencing Belushi. There is, after all, hope for you young'uns.
