I've gotten lots of love letters for going through Austins with my EZ tag

And they told me I had to get the Tx tag , which I wound up doing

If you get the chance, check out Temple Vs UCF on espnu right now. UCF freshman, "Taco Fall". 7'6". He can touch the rim with both hands, while standing flat-footed.

From what I read after recently buying one, TxTag and EZ-Tag all work in the same places with the exception of Dallas Airport (Love and DFW) parking and the DFW Airport Tollroad (in which Toll Tag is the only one that works). Outside of that, all three tags work in all of Texas.

Both EZ Tag and TxTag do not work outside of Texas, but Toll Tag works in Oklahoma (Because Dallas may as well be Southern Oklahoma! Amirite? ).

No Tag from all 3 agencies can currently be used at border crossings, so you have to carry change next time you visit Boys Town in Nuevo Laredo ( bummer)

When it comes down to it, TxTag is cheaper in the sense that they throw in the tag for free.

If the EZ tag is working state wide it's something new within the last 18 months

Nope it has always worked on all of them except the DFW airport stuff. I've had one since they opened the Ean Houston and used it on every toll road they've built since.

Like I said, I've gotten lots of love letters fro going through Austin and Dallas toll roads with the EZ tag, it even said it on the EZ tag website it' was only good in Harris county. It's the only reason I had to switch to the Tx tag, I had to.

I love when Duke comes out of the echo chamber and steps into the Rant. Home court advantage.

You probably didn't have your vehicle information that is linked to the tag correctly up to date. Did you have a change in license plate numbers or a change in address after purchasing your tag? I know the TxTag has some issues being read on Harris County tolls at times so if your license plates aren't linked to TxTag, you get fined by HCTRA. The reverse probably happened to you in which other tolls have a hard time reading EZ Tags

Okay I lied. Mines just a NTTA toll tag not an EZ Tag.

My bad.

All this tag talk was getting confusing as hell for me to follow

Just ran outside and checked--I have a TxTag, apparently. Good for my random trips to Waco and DFW, I guess

Interesting. I posed the question just because my truck came with an EzTag and was wondering if they ever expired. I was cruising around H-town and never got a bill so I was curious.
