Sounds like My-King (3*DE from AZ) Rahyme Johnson (4*LB from CA) and Jhamon Ausbon (4* WR, LSU commit) working on official visit plans with staff.
Allan Walters (4* QB from NJ-2018) was on campus with staff yesterday.

The top 2019 running back, Noah Cain, is on campus today according to 247. He is playing at Denton Guyer, but he is yet another kid originally from LA living in TX.
Also sounds like Rob Childress got another baseball commit.

Is there something I'm not seeing? 3* and not really what I'd consider a strong offer list. Spav, Holgorsen are the highlights. Do you know something that makes you classify this as HUGE?

Rival's ranking him as a low 3* is pushing his composite rating down. Scout and ESPN have him as a 4* and 247 has him in the top 300 overall players. He will be a 4* soon enough.

UT just added another RB today. Now all of Travis Etienne's other listed favorites (Bama, OSU, Arky, and UT) are likely done recruiting at RB.
Is there something fishy going on with his recruitment? I think somebody eluded to his HS coaches wanting to have a larger role in his decision at one point.

I'll take a coach's eyes over ESPN "scouts" all day, every day. I hope he turns out to be everything you think he's going to be. It's a loooong way to NSD '18. Let's see what happens if UGA, USCe and Clemson want the kid.

I agree with you, but ESPN and Scout already have this kid tabbed as a 4*. He is a top 300 player nationally with both services.

The transfer market is insane this year! Baylor started the run and now the Sips are having to process players because they overrecruited last year. Ole Miss will probably drop a bunch of kids after NCAA sanctions are levied.
A&M has already taken in Kirk Merritt and apparently has given the "stiff-arm" to 2 Sips (Newman and McNeal). I would not be surprised to see A&M adopt the "Gray and Blue shirt" tactics that Butch Jones has utilized to build a strong UT team this year. Players would benefit themselves to start committing soon this year because most "Power 4" schools are more than half-way done.

Yep. I expect we will get bailed out due to a good season on the field but if we win 8 or less we likely won't finish with a top 25 class

I can't imagine falling out of the top 25 with an 8 win season, but even another 20ish finish will make it extremely difficult to compete for SEC championships with the way Bama and LSU are recruiting.
And I wouldn't classify success on the field as "bailing us out" in recruiting. That's exactly how it's supposed to work.

When did we have a 20ish finish? Do yo mean finishing in the teens, because that is likely to happen?
