Perroni brought this up and I think its interesting. We know sumlin usually doesn't push for commits, but do you think he does today just to send a message to strong?

I really don't. I think the message thing is overplayed. We're competing against a lot of coaches, not just Charlie Strong, for these guys.
We've already got 5 of the top 20 kids in Texas (technically Dunning isn't but that's only bc of injury). We're probably going to close on another 3 or so today and have a heavy lean for 3-4 more. Getting a kid to commit only to look around later is not a message and in fact would be counterproductive imo. I say stick to the process. It's working.

I would be surprised if sumlin pushes kids today when he usually doesn't, but I just never thought of that when perroni brought it up. Either way we are looking really good

ETA: Rumor on twitter that the new staff hasn't been in contact with him and might have decided this is another offer they are gonna pull. Of course none of this was said until he showed up at our junior day and got an offer so take it FWIW.

I'm waiting to hear if Pryor and Boyd got an offer. If Hamm can tweet Lanfear did, it's making me nervous no tweet about Pryor and Boyd.

Actually that's probably accurate (at least the first part). He's the one Garza tweeted at saying he guessed they weren't Texas commits any more. I doubt that was random and they had probably talked about the fact that neither one had heard anything.
No telling if they want to cut him. Lots of the '14 guys that they did want (Porter, Alaka, Henderson) complained about a lack of contact as well. It's possible they are so far behind in evals etc, they aren't sure whether they want them or not
