We are apparently looking at adding RB Antonio Bateman as a late JUCO signee. He was a full qualifier (similar to Jackson last year I believe) so he can transfer whenever.

5'7" 183. I guess they want him to fill Trey's role?

It's from 247 and sounded more like a speculative thing so who knows. I would assume that's the role they had in mind for him but I would rather take two HS backs in 2016. We should be okay in 16 with White Bradford Bussey and maybe one of Whaley or Trayveon Williams contributing

So roquan isn't signing anywhere, just gonna commit and eventually enroll for summer classes at school he chooses.

Seems like a very smart move for players are good enough to have coaches save him a spot. It also limits him a ton because schools will run out of room.

Trendsetter IMHO. Here is a good read on that:

yes and no. He should be in no rush and make sure he's making the right decision for him. But he'll play faster, integrate with his teammates, enjoy life at a school if he signs with them because they will make plans for him and around him. It's minor and maybe it won't matter to him, but I don't really see any value in dragging it out once you know where you want to go.

So anyone else hate that Mastro is hanging it up? I thought he was going to kick down the door at some point but it just didn't happen.

Yeah it makes me kinda sad to see that he's done. He got a lot of crap thrown his way but he never lacked for effort.

Wish him all the best.

Roquan Smith, the linebacker from Georgia who has been in the national spotlight since last week’s signing day, is expected to reveal his college decision on Friday, according to his coach.

...

Harold declined to give any hints about Smith’s new college choice, other than to say that Smith has already decided on it.

“Yeah, he’s 100-percent sold on his next school,” Harold said. “He’s in a good place. He has known since about Tuesday. I’m pretty sure that staff knows that he’s coming.”
Rivals' UGA site is pretty much saying he's theirs. He gone.
