Whoever said we'd be taking 28...that's the exact amount of scholarships we currently have available.

2011: Carson, B. Williams, Alexander, Cheek, Burns, Bertolet, Kaser (7)

2012: Holmes, Pope, Ifedi, Matthews, A. Williams, Obioha, Taylor, Hilliard, Harris (9)

2013: Hill, White, Seals-Jones, Tabuyo, Gonzales, Parker, Stuckey, Hall, Manning, Arnold, H. Walker, Chevis, Wade, S. Washington, Mastrogiovanni, Ellis, Sezer, Wiggins, Garner, V. Davis (20)

2014: Allen, Noil, Reynolds, Iheanacho, Jeffery, Martin, Eluemunor, Gennesy, Gustafson, Ledwik, T. Davis, Garrett, Jackson, Henderson, D. Washington, Cunningham, Johnson, J. Walker, Alaka, Watts, Wilson, Harvey (22)

That's 58 scholarships. 60 if you include Moeller and McQueen.

Nobody has mentioned this but we made Marvell Tell's top two.

That would be absolutely ridiculous if we were to somehow close out with:

Mack
Moton
Tell
DeBerry
Sheffield
Merritt
Boyd or Lodge

Can't see that happening. I wouldn't be shocked if it was Mack, Sheffield, Boyd, Bussey or Merritt, Lodge, Moore, and another LB.

Mack - I think he will be an Aggie. Within an hour of our Chavis announcement he cancelled his LSU visit and scheduled an A&M visit. Until TCU beat the crap out of Ole Miss I was pretty convinced LSU led the race for Mack. I think now that we have a DC and it is one that Mack was interested in, we will be back at the No. 1.

Moton - He would flip to us if we pursued him. He has some grade/qualification issues according to Brice. He was on twitter right after our Chavis hire basically saying he wished A&M would pursue him etc.

Tell - I have always thought that this kid would somehow end up an Aggie. Lots of ground to make up but with the DC hire and TJ remaining on staff I don't see any reason why we couldn't get him here if that's what we want.

DeBerry - would be a great pickup and we have a decent chance at getting him in my opinion. With OU's bowl loss and our DC hire, we are right back in the game even though he's committed.

Sheffield - despite the influx of Bama rumors, I think all signs point to him being an Ag.

Merritt - He will be an Ag.

Boyd - He will be an Ag.

Lodge - He will not be an Ag but he has Kyler and Kirk talking in his ear a lot about coming back into the fold so you never know.

Tell is announcing at the Army game and all signs point to USC. Sheffield has consistently mentioned academics and the relationship with his position coach as the reasons why he chose the school he did (said it in multiple interviews, including a recent one on ESPN insider). Our academics are better than Alabama's. Does anyone have insight into how his relationship with TJ is?

I wouldn't rule anything out right now

Sumlin is an elite closer. He now has an elite DC to sell. It's pretty obvious all the pieces are falling into place. Hell our 2014 defensive class is salty as frick so it's not going to take long. Why wouldn't you want to be part of it?

I can't remember but our cap is 29 or 30. I think will hit it or have 1 left. There's a possibility you may see a grey shirt too if we go over. There is more attrition coming

Kind of crazy how few scholarship seniors we will have next year, not really losing a lot moving into 2016

My guess on the attrition:

Sabian Holmes
Quiv Gonzales
Tyrone Taylor
Reggie Chevis
Brett Wade

and possibly

Kenny Hill
Devonta Burns

Great news - Slim is staying. LINK

Sabo is going to be a senior. Where would he go? Transferring right before his senior year makes little sense.

His relationship with TJ is great, i think that's why most Aggie insiders see him committing to the good guys.

Is Parker still on the team? I don't recall him on the field much at all.

Kyrion? Yeah. People expect good things from him next season and beyond. Just had some setbacks with injuries.
