No he said that earlier today.
I'll say this, I get people will be pissed if he goes somewhere else because of no dc but I would rather get the hire right. Also why this self imposed deadline, why can't he wait until he sees who we get, or have a little faith? I do hope though that this doesn't affect Mack...

Th problem is that no Malik mans no Daylon, no Sheffield and Kyler seriously consiering baseball.
This could cost us FOUR 5-star recruits.

Honestly, the only reason the DC search is still going HAS to be because Bud Foster is still in play.
I just don't see any other reason why Sumlin wouldn't be able to tell Malik it's going to be Durkin/Mattison as Co-DCs and move on. The only reason Sumlin wouldn't be able to that is because he's still got a monster hire on the line and can't do anything to risk it.

I'm fairly certain Murray and Mack are the ringleaders of this class, not Jefferson. I don't see those two doing complete 180s because he goes to UT

Yeah I mean I have a really hard time believing Jefferson and his parents straight up told some recruiting analyst they've probably met a couple times what his choice is the night before the biggest moment of his life. Especially when said analyst works for the other team. Maybe he got a really heavy UT vibe though when he talked to them.
