Soso is a stud. He's really a good fit for y'alls offense but I think he loves the horns.

He came and visited us a few weeks ago and we're in it for him but I think, at least as of now, we're behind. I think having him out there is a reason we are slowing down on Bradford.

This is from Gilmer CB Kris Boyd (teammates with Josh Walker) who is coming to the scrimmage tomorrow. I do not believe he's been to A&M before.
quote:

"Texas is my leader and I've been anxious to get back to Austin," said Boyd. "I really want to go there, but after thinking about it, I've decided I want to attend a school where my brother can play too. I want him there with me. I ask him what type of college he likes, and see if he can get a guaranteed offer too."

His little brother is 2016 athlete DeMarco Boyd, of Gilmer. DeMarco Boyd is a 5-11, 190-pound dynamo linebacker for the Buckeyes. He was easily one of the most impressive players of the night practice, and there's no doubt he could play at the next level. Does Mack Brown offer the other Boyd too? That'll be the million-dollar question. Brown has a recent history of bringing brothers to Austin. He's snagged the Teuhema siblings from Keller, 2014 defensive end Sione and 2015 tackle Maea, in addition to adding Texas City's Armanti and D'Onta Foreman for the 2014 class.

"Josh (Walker) really wants me at A&M, but I love Texas," said Boyd. "It'll be really hard to say no to Texas."

And the day Joe Mixon cancels his visit, Jay Bradford commits. That's an odd coincidence

As long as Soso knows we will keep a spot for him, I'm cool with it!
Also hearing theres is a chance R. Anderson lines up at slot

Anderson was moved all around by Katy backing up Taylor. He showed the kind of versatility that he could really project to a couple of different spots for us. I bet he plays H for us quite a bit where he can line up in the backfield or in the slot.

couple questions:

y'all looking into Patrick Karr? I know UT was suppose to offer but some stuff happened.

what about everyone's opinion on Mack? LSU side is hearing good things (not just S/S)

also Anderson is a beast, hell of a pickup this early
and I know Bradford is happy

I seriously doubt we pursue Carr at this point. I think we would take Soso or Brossette of course. We'd take Warren but we've always seen him as an ATH anyway (we haven't offered yet though).

We''ll probably keep lines of communication open with Hasty (who we already offered) as well as Stevenson and Carr (who we haven't) in case something comes up. But for the most part I'd guess we are done at RB and pretty happy about it.

Personally not particularly worried about it but things happen. LSU is definitely on his mind right now.

to that end Memphis, here's an interview with Daylon from Friday. It's with Hamm so obviously the questions are often leading but still an interesting interview

Likely to be the #1 or #2 player in Texas. Has been a rather strong Texas lean but with their complete defensive meltdown, I'd guess he's reconsidering things. He'll be at our game Sat. Btw, he's good friends with Daylon Mack and is one of the "East Texas Five" who kid about all playing together (they almost certainly won't but they are all pretty tight)
