re: 2015 Beisbol: game over

I don't really care much about Collegiate Baseball but it's always nice for someone to rank you high. Plus the national media uses them a lot and it'll tweek all the swamp kittens hard

For instance WN uses CBN for it's default rankings so this week it's show us #1 facing #23 Mizzou. I think the SECN uses the Coach's Poll though and that has yet to come out. I expect to see A&M 2 in that one as we were ahead of Vandy and behind LSU last week.

PV & SFA are the only schools outside the top 200 on our schedule and they're already out of the way. I wouldn't be shocked if SFA wona few and got inside the top 200.

DBU, Neb, and UH all look like very nice wins. Plus we still have Rice on the schedule. I know they're not weekend series, but these add up too.

I worried Dartmouth might come back to hurt us (RPI & SOS standpoint). They only have 1 win all year long.

No we do in fact kinda suck at the glove portion of the game. We've mostly chosen to go hitting over fielding and so far it's worked. But it's definitely an issue.

We've got a terrific bullpen and a good lineup that really grinds. We see a lot of pitches and it means we often see opposing starters rack of pitch counts allowing us into the bullpen.

But our starting pitching is not all that. Long is solid, not elite, but Kent is a good pitcher with below average stuff and Larkins is a fish with excellent stuff but is incredibly inconsistent. Between the two they got us 4.2 IP in the DH on Saturday. We definitely have questions there.

I like this team. It's a fun one to watch because of the way it's built. We should be in virtually every game. But I wouldn't say it's the kind that has no holes.

Just eye-balling UTSA's batting averages and slugging percentages ... the boys can hit.
