and here I thought Aggies flipped their shite too easily if Texas or Baylor ever get mentioned.

It must be exhausting being an LSU fan having to constantly look for things that prove the world is against them.

In fairness, most of the replies were along the lines of "You're a dumbass" or "It doesn't matter, 3-0".

If the situation were reversed and LSU had a +1 run differential, who thinks an Aggie wouldn't have bitched about it?

Some pretty bad news. AJ Minter has been scratched from Friday with elbow inflammation. He'll have an MRI sometime this week. He came out early last Friday because of this (he only threw 70 pitches)

The plan is to move up Long and Kent and throw freshman Larkins Sunday. Larkins is also starting today in our last 5 game week. Hopefully AJ is okay and just needs a bit of time off but if not, we're really going to run into depth issues.

From what I've seen from Larkins, he has just great stuff and is a future stud. But he is inconsistent and leaves balls over the plate. That becomes very problematic against SEC comp that won't miss on those just because he's throwing low 90s.

So hilarious that they are so butthurt over this. I did NOTHING but state the fact that we won and got RA'd so much that I received a pm.

It pisses me off that all the LSU fans do is troll and call names. Other fans say anything that rustles them and BOOM.

My biggest worry about this team come postseason is the pitching depth. I think we are talented enough and have the attitude to have a pretty special squad but that's my only concern. frick the negativity though, 17-0

So I go to bump my check in if your undefeated thread I started like 3 weeks ago and it is no longer there. I blame butthurt LSU mods about how I posted the lost the tiebreaker in the HCC.

I believe 17-0 is now the 2nd longest winning streak in Aggie baseball history.

Brigham Hill on the mound for the Ags today (3:05 first pitch)

Couple of notable lineup changes. Melton moves to 1st in an effort to get someone who can actually field over there. At 3rd we've plugged in McClendon. He's a guy who's had a lot of ABs in the past. And what seems a long time coming, Banks is being moved up to the 4 spot and Melton drops to 5.

Otherwise, few regulars getting days off (Taylor, Moss) and a few who haven't been getting ABs get a chance to play (Gideon as DH, Kopetsky, Moroney)

We need to figure out what to do at first. Logan & GR are batting .100 and .189. We know Logan has some pop in his bat and GR is still find ways to get on base, but one of them needs to come around quick or someone needs to take it from them (Melton). And if Melton does take that spot it give Gideon another crack at 3rd. He's been bad on D and cooled since the hot first weekend, but he's a strong hitter and I want him in the line up just maybe not over Melton at 3rd and whoever our DH is that day (Nau, Taylor, etc.)

I wonder if Taylor can play first and Moroney or Kopetsky could take over in LF. Taylor has looked a little iffy in the OF from when I've watched but maybe he's just adapting.

Our IF defense is definitely one of the few concerns though. I agree we need to find a solution at 1B but I wish there was one that really improved our defense in the IF

I've wondered this too. He needs to be in the lineup but yeah, he's been an adventure in left at times. He seems to be improving and I'm not necessarily worried about his defense there but we have multiple options in the outfield whereas none at 1B.

I'm not so sure about Gideon at 1B. His best attribute at 3rd is his arm which is negated at 1st. Another option could be to put Nau on 1B on days he's not catching. Barash seems to be catching 2 of 3 games on weekends so that would really only leave 1 day you need a different 1B.

How has Melton been defensively at third? From what I've seen he's looked okay but some of y'all have seen more than me

It seems like we have a bunch of guys who we feel "we have to have their bat in the lineup" but we aren't sure where they fit. One of those guys can surely be a serviceable 1B, the problem is backfilling where they move from, which is why I suggested Taylor.

Moroney has plenty of experience and looked good last year before getting hurt and Kopetsky seems like he has promise

Gideon would also solve this problem because he's kind of positionless right now it seems like on days Barash is catching

he's okay. He's not Brooks Robinson over there or something but he mostly makes the routine plays.

I totally agree with both of y'all that it would be the ideal solution but Gideon is just a bad fielder. He's got a .750 fielding pct on the year and that's.....not good.

Nice double play by PanAm to end the threat in the 2nd. We may actually lose this one, with the position changes plus those guys are pretty damn good.

ETA: watchespn.com, for anybody else pretending to work.
