Nope, he is looking at TCU/Tech. He can see the writing on the wall with the WR recruits we are bringing in.

MLB Mock Drafts are projecting Kohl Stewart as Top 10 overall. I don't see any way he signs.

I dont see why he would. I'm a big Kenny Hill fan too so it's not a huge deal to me. I was almost as excited to see Stewart on the mound for A&M

I think his heart, and his family's heart, is set on him being the QB for A&M. Would not be surprised at all to see him sign his LOI with the Aggies.

I hope you are wrong but passing up that kind of money will be tough.

You guys do realize you don't have to sign scholarship papers to attend Texas A&M, right? And you don't have to sign in Feb to be on scholarship in the fall. There are ways to do this right.

Per the other site, it looks like Flowers didn't get in, so he's not coming at all. We got a mid-term transfer from TCU (A.J. Hilliard) who won't be eligible until the 2014 season.

The same site also claims that Jordan Richmond (and likely Ken Marshall) are off the team due to the pot incident.

NOSIR!

It appears that we are down to 31 commits.

2013 LB Edward Williams has decommitted from A&M, and there's no chance that he'll greyshirt.

Measurables:
Ht: 6'3"
Wt: 230 lbs
40: 4.58

Oregon State and La Tech are potential destinations for Williams, per Liucci.

I like that Sum has a chance to make a splash on signing day.

LaRue, who has hands, speed, vision and terrific lateral agility according to the ESPN recruiting analysts will fit well into that role long term. The commitment of LaRue is also a sign of the Aggies' continued efforts to recruit nationally. Head coach Kevin Sumlin maintains that Texas is the home recruiting base for the Aggies and neighboring Louisiana is a priority as well, but being in the SEC allows the Aggies exposure to reach recruits from coast-to-coast. LaRue is the second commitment from California and the sixth player in the 2013 class to come from a state other than Texas or Louisiana.

Much of the credit must go to secondary coach Marcel Yates for landing LaRue. He was the first coach to offer LaRue a scholarship back when LaRue was a sophomore and Yates was an assistant coach at Boise State. When Yates became the secondary coach at Texas A&M last year, he made sure to continue his relationship with LaRue and it was significant in this recruitment. Santa Monica High School head coach Travis Clark, who coaches LaRue, called Yates "a great friend." LaRue stated in recent weeks that his relationship with Yates was important, referring to him as a "mentor" that he could look up to if he landed in College Station. LaRue makes seven potential receivers in A&M’s 2013 class.

just fyi, on our very likely next '14 commit DSG. It really confused me when we offered him given the love we are getting from "higher ranked" kids. But Yates freaking loves him. This is going to be like the deal of choosing Josh Walker over Cam Hampton. Our coaches see what they want and are going to get it.

That said, DSG (and Walker actually) is a 4* national player by everyone so it's not like he's low rated or anything. It's just we are choosing him above guys that right now are higher rated.

Who were we getting the love from?

Jamal Adams is the only one I can think of that was giving us a sniff but wasn't he the one that freaked out about how the recruits were treated at the CB practice?

I haven't seen where we have gotten much love from other safeties.

DBs in general I have heard we are in a good position with Brown (especially if his sister commits to Pat Henry), I remember hearing a lot on Nick Watkins early in the year but not much recently (not sure if we have backed off or if he has) and we already have Harvey and Ced Collins ... there are not too many more DBs in the state that I think we will be looking at.

ETA: I didn't forget about Paris but I just don't see him being an Ag

safeties rated higher by 247 (Rivals hasn't put out a Texas list and I'm not going to use Ketch's)

Ed Paris (98)
Jamal Adams (95)
Davion Hall (94)
Ed Freeman (93)

It's very early. None of those 4 have committed. It's not the time to be making 2nd tier offers to kids that have already committed when we could probably land Freeman and Adams if we push. We are probably behind on both Paris and Hall (though I think it's safe to say we are in 2nd for both). We just like DSG (92) better. I think we're going to take 2 safeties though (plus Harvey who could play either).

Like I said, I don't think Adams is that high on us. I definitely don't think that a hard push would secure his bid.

My honest opinion is that Safties in Texas go Ed Paris then everyone else is about equal. I don't think that Adams, Hall, or Freeman are significantly better than DSG and I definitely don't consider him a "second tier offer" ... obviously the staff doesn't either as they have supposedly stepped up some on recruiting him.

As for him being our next commit .. we will see .. there are a few from the Jr day that seem to have been fairly impressed.

the staff doesn't. They see him as better than Paris. My point is they offered him well after the first four when none of those 4 have decided and we are in good shape with all of them.

fyi, whether announced first or not, he "will be" our next commit.
