We're two once-proud programs humbled by the last few years, so let's embrace tMelt and discuss our teams and this weekend's game. Feel free to ask me any questions about our team, our coach, etc.

I've heard some Arkansas fans say that they think that they have a great match-up with their passing game vs. Tennessee's secondary, and that they believe they will pick up their first SEC win of the season in Knoxville.

I counter with, "Bert is fat".

Are we both right?

Honestly, we're not a bad team, not at all, I think if games were only 50 minutes long, we could beat just about anyone in the country.

The problem is that games are 60 minutes long. It's heartbreaking to have a team this good and be 2-2 because of coaching.

The only problem with that is that we've become a dink and dunk team, and our passing game against both Tech and A&M consisted of quick outs, receiver screens and dump offs to the TE in the flats. Despite Allen's passing numbers, we're not really passing downfield.

As far as our chances, I'd feel better if this were in Fayetteville, but it's not, and Bert has 0 SEC road wins and just 1 true road win in his tenure here (last year @Texas Tech). Most of our fans are in "I'll believe it when I see it" mode. Our only hope is that your team comes out flat after 2 heartbreaking losses, but there's a very real chance that we could come out flatter because of 3 heartbreaking losses.

Running QBs have given us a ton of problems over the years, and this year especially. We made Tech's QB look like Johnny Manziel on his 8th cup of coffee, and Kyler Murray was destroying us on the edge last week. Even Kyle Allen was taking advantage of wide open running lanes when our line was losing containment.

I think our woes with our pass D are worrisome, but we might have a bigger problem with Dobbs tucking and running.

I think Tennessee is a very good team this year, and you still only have 1 loss in an SEC East that looks horrendous this year outside of you and Georgia.

Your problem has been jumping out to a lead on teams and watching them come back, and our problem has been that we're incapable of a late game comeback (see Toledo and Tech) or holding a lead (A&M), so who knows what will happen.

I'm trying to give a shite about this game, but I fully expect for this team to either lay down or lose in dramatic fashion at this point.

Butch will benevolently provide Beet with his first SEC road win.

How many starters from last year's defense are gone?

We lost 4 starters if you include our nickelback, who actually played a ton and was arguably the best player in our secondary by the end of the year.

Flowers (DE), Philon (DT) and Spaight (LB) were all huge losses because they were our 3 best players on defense, and without them we've been completely devoid of a pass rush, which has hurt the pass defense because we're giving opposing QB's way too much time in the pocket, and we also have a gaping hole at linebacker.

After the heartaches we've been through and the fact that we can't win on the road, I'll believe it when I see it.

Well I think we are in trouble. Looked like Bert was crying at his post game press conference against aTm. Didnt ya'll tear shite up after he cried against Bama last year?

Nah we proceeded to get blown out by UGA in Little Rock the next week and blew a lead at MSU 2 weeks later after a breather against UAB.

The 17-0 and 30-0 beatdowns of LSU and Ole Miss came after that MSU heartbreaker.

I'm excited about this game...not because I think we will win...or even that it will be a good game. I'm going to an alumni tailgate that is serving a shite load of Dead End BBQ. To hell with the game.

I am going to wander around until I find this tailgate and crash it.

I passed Dead End yesterday and realized I have never had it. I have heard that it is the best in Knoxville, I need to try it soon.

I'll have to try them. I like Sweet P's smoked wings...I've tried to replicate them, but not quite as good.

^This. What sucks is our OL is only good for about half a game and our depth on defense is a big drop off. The DL is good but guys like Foreman have got to improve or we're gonna get killed.

As a fan, it hurts a lot more to know you have a good team but also know you have these fatal flaws that will pop up as the game wears on than it does to just be a meh team.
