Thanks for putting us in our place, soothsayer.

Do you think that Devin White will turn down loads of cash from UA to play for nothing at LSU? A simple yes or no should suffice.

Well, that'll stick a fork in BasilBogomil. He's done.

I really don't know why LSU fan goes to such lengths just to be an a-hole towards Arkansas fan. According to the board, Arkansas is absolutely no threat to LSU in any way, shape, or form. The insecurity of LSU fan in every single thread even mentioning Devin White gives most Hog fans hope.
Fact of the matter is there is major mutual interest between DW and Arkansas. Believe what you want but it's the truth. Does that mean he will sign with Arkansas? Of course not, but to act like it's some kind of joke is ridiculous.
This isn't Houston Nutts Arkansas, Bielema is very successful in the recruiting trail and has Arkansas in on a whole new level of athletes than what Arkansas traditionally gets and the Hogs are definitely on the rise. A few insecure LSU fans can do nothing to change that.

He and his family may be above such under the table deals, I couldn't say, but I know for certain that Alabama boosters aren't (e.g. Logan Young).

I guess he figured you for the average Bama fan.

Well I guess CBB does...we aren't taking RB commits right now and haven't even offered a 4* RB in our own backyard because he will commit on the spot.
You've offered 10 other RBs, Bielema isnt stupid. You have a better chance of flipping Tre Turner than landing Devin White.

I know you understand how recruiting works...taking commits vs giving offers.
I agree CBB isn't stupid.
You may be right, you may be wrong

I am sure his family would refuse six figures for their son.
Anything is possible I guess. They could be like Ricky Seals-Jones family who turned down six figures from LSU, or he could be like Patrick Peterson's handler who took the money.

Unsubstantiated rumors and innuendo.

Logan Young became the first booster to be convicted of a crime for providing improper inducements to a recruit.
quote:
Federal prosecutors said Young gave Lang $150,000 in cash payments during a 15-month period in 1999 and 2000. In return, Lang steered Means toward the Crimson Tide. The case has already resulted in Alabama's football team being placed on five years' probation by the NCAA, and Lang and one of his assistant coaches pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy.
A matter of record and fact.

Quick quiz: Which school has most recently been on probation for giving improper benefits, Alabama or LSU?

Devin White is not going to Arkansas. Just let it go.
Arkansas has never and will never be in it for him. It's fact.

Not the school who had the strength coach paying a guy named Ha-ha I guess. Or the one who had players getting living room sets from former players.

You're right. LSU has been on probation more recently than Alabama.

Hopefully LSU can repay that favor
