When you say "best" do you mean on paper or rankings wise ?

Cause LSU's class is elite and will probably finish ranked the highest but their biggest position of need is QB and they've struck out more than Adam Dunn trying to land one.

Had LSU landed a commitment from Shea back in February their current class would've been better than Alabama's 2008 class imho.

Where members of that class got drafted (after 2 national titles). Quite the expectations you've got for them.

He's talking about the class itself, on paper. Not what they did looking back 4 years later.

Odd comparison then, since that wasn't our best class on paper by a fair margin

The 2012 and 2013 classes were loaded on paper. The 2014 class included 1/3 of the top 15 players in the country. Just a strange comparison if he was indeed talking about the paper value

To answer the OP, it's going to be a close finish. I think Bama wins signing day, but may not finish number one overall. 4 five stars pledging to Bama on signing day wouldn't be a total shock, with the 3 linebackers and Simmons

wtf is "paper"?

He obviously means the 247 composite rankings.

We have nothing but busts. At least half the class will likely never take the field.
