What you just posted has absolutely no bearing on who UGA accepts into college and who they don't. Just because they qualify for the NCAA does not mean that a prospective student athlete gets admission to any school within the University system of Georgia. It would still require 1 more core class than the minimum set forth by the NCAA. Strictly by definition, 1 more core class is a "tougher" mandate. Are you really this obtuse?

I think we have our answer, as certain individuals appear to be content to let the topic disappear to the bottom of the page.

I have already proven Georgia fans were FOS when they claimed their football program dropped this kid for academic reasons. Kid obviously dropped Georgia instead. Not much else needs to be said

And I have already said nothing in my argument is about Okeke. I don't think UGA "dropped" him at all. UGA is without an OC and OL coach at the moment. What could anyone reasonably expect this kid to do right now? When UGA gets a those coaches in place, I fully expect UGA to get back involved with him in a big way. No matter what happens at that time, he will still need 17 core credits (not 16) to be able to be admitted to UGA. Nothing is going to change that.

UGA didn't "drop" him. Chidi likely dropped us to the bottom of his list after Bobo and Friend left and, rather than try to keep on recruiting him in spite of the fact that he can't EE due to missing credits, we just mutually agreed to move on and focus our attention on other recruits. Chidi isn't going to make or break our class by any stretch.

Some recruiting analyst have said he is a potential first round draft pick down the road

It is refreshing to see that even during an Auburn game, auburnphan is posting about UGA. Gotta respect his commitment.

In his defense; I called him out right before the game started. Not entirely his fault.

Having said that, I agree with tyler; regardless of whether or not Chidi has first round talent or not, he is still not a make or break recruit for UGA. They should still finish with a top 3 recruiting class.

Well that's cute I guess. Doesn't mean shite and, even if it did, it still wouldn't make or break our class.

The NCAA requirements for 16 core credits and an upgraded minimum GPA just changed to take effect for the 2016 class which is one of the reasons Chidi wanted to reclassify to 2015 class.

This isn't a "new" thing. Rusty mentioned it as soon as Chidi reclassified a few months ago. It was always going to be a bit of a risk for him since he would have to pass all these classes through the summer and if he didn't, he would be stuck for a year. When Bobo and Friend left, then that was just one less reason to take the risk.

Laughing at an Auburn fan bringing up that CNN study. UGA was one of the few SEC schools that didn't hide behind some pitiful excuse not to give CNN the information. If I recall, Auburn mentioned something about it would take a little time for them to get their proverbial shite together and cough up the info-- 3 years later not a peep from Auburn.

He could be another D.J. Fluker for Alabama but is very raw. Defintely would need a redshirt year. Two or three years of development and he could be a great RT.

I would be much more worried about possibly losing Okeke if Ben Cleveland weren't coming to Athens in 2016. That kid is a once in a lifetime OL IMO.
