The thread ion the Georgis board was definitely a meltdown. A lot of posters in that thread couldn't believe every kid doesn't want to play for s school whose last national championship came during the Jimmy Carter administration.

Oh yeah I was only alerted to the thread by people on the Auburn boards laughing at the posts in that thread and claiming Georgia fans are bammers without the national championships

You do seem like the kinda guy that would put stock in to things like who a recruit thinks has the hotter girls or cooler stadium.

You don't think a recruit cares about girls? How many playser have went to a school because of a chick? I think it helped Bama out with Landon Collins if I recall. Ive read kids liking Oregon because of their uniforms.

I do. But it's usually girls they're already dating. The difference in female talent between Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, etc.... is splitting hairs.

Yea, they like them. That's almost never the main factor in the decision though.

classic auburn fodder from Phan...keep going. you are better than this. give us your other 2 only arguments. Come on. you can do it.

PS - it wasnt even close to a "melt", whatever a melt means. Almost all of the posters were giving counter arguments to what the dad said...and guess what...

KYLE DAVIS just came out and said his dad is a load of shite. LOL

The truth is, players of Kyle Davis' caliber don't care about winning national titles. They'll say they do in interviews because it's what people want to hear, but all they care about in the recruiting process is who is offering the most and who convinced them they can put them in the NFL. If you don't believe that, then you've never had a candid conversation with any big time college football players.

Saying that you like Auburn's stadium or girls more than UGA's is just splitting hairs. Both are top notch and will have no real influence on a recruit's final decision.

1.) No it wasn't

2.) What would we be melting over? The kid didn't say it. Davis hasn't even made a decision and, by all accounts, is still a UGA lean and will be coming to campus this Friday for a full weekend at Dawgnight. The entire discussion in the thread was about how asinine the dad's comments were.

Because so many recruits care that Auburn won a title 5 years ago. The only people the past matters to are the fans. Recruits only care about what you're going to do for them when they get to campus and where you're going to help them get to afterward. The past is just a way to weed out the smaller programs.

Is this supposed to hurt our feelings? We laugh at the Auburn posters all the time. So what?

You were one of the people melting down the most with your tears about how there is nothing to do in Auburn.

You are apparently too dumb to realize that Auburn is the 20 th fastest growing city in the entire country by percentages of population. The people who forecast population growth into the future predict Auburn's population to be around 90 thousand in another 10 or 15 years and the population of the county Auburn is located in to be around 240 or 250 thousand by the same time

The city is currently engaging in a project to expand and grow the downtown area by bringing many more businesses in to handle the expected population growth. Do you think Georgia will win a national championship in the next 10 of 15 years? I am skeptical about it myself

Who the frick cares? You're 20th on a list that doesn't matter to anyone but city officials. Congrats on growing to eventually be like everyone else.

Congrats on the future traffic issues, I guess. Athens is already at ~120k so I don't see what you're trying to prove?

How did you go from

Because one of the major criticisms of Auburn is that town is too small and has nothing to do. However that is already changing and will probably change a lot more in the next decade.

One of the major criticisms of Georgia is that you constantly underachiever and don't win anything. When do you think that will change? I personally don't see it changing any time soon

Phan just excited that they ended their drought. Although, we have a LOOONG way to go to catch their drought of a NC that ended in 2010. Not really sure what he is gonna do if we happen to win one in the next few years. Then UGA would have a more recent one, more recent SEC CC, more NCs and more SEC CCs...If we end up winning it all in the next few years, someone gonna be on suicide watch.
