To sign with SC is to book a room on the Titanic. It's a shame they didn't get Spurrier's exit plan established and communicated to recruits before he went spouting off to the media.

The 'Spurrier is about to retire' narrative is the same garbage uga fans have been hoping/praying for that past 10 years, and it hasn't happened yet. He's just as likely to coach 4 or 5 more years as Richt or anybody else is. He's been saying he's going to coach 4 or 5 more years for 20 years. The beatings willl continue until he says he's done with y'all.

Nice to see you this scared cockrear.

Hope you enjoyed the finest years South Carolina football has ever seen, and ever will see.

And - getting back to the purpose of the thread - thanks for Davis.

4-5? I thought he sank your recruiting class because he said 1-2 years left.

He decided to retract that statement after 4/5 commits decommited and all of the commits became concerned.

Something about rats/sinking ships

Got a pretty good list going this weekend. Hoping Dawg Night is a success this year. Normally we have some big time chips start to fall with the big recruiting weekends. Good luck and this is where it starts to get interesting.

From The Opening:

quote:

"With the spread offense that Tennessee, Auburn and South Carolina run, they really compliment him," Kyle's father, Ron Davis, told AL.com Wednesday during The Opening in Oregon. "It's always good to go into something that you know. I just don't see UGA being one that would actually develop him as well as some of the other schools would.

"I know Georgia is giving him a lot of hype about what they're doing... but Kyle needs to go to a school that best enhances his skill and somewhere that can prepare him for the next level."

I hate that entitled type of statement. Next level? He's gotta actually earn playing time in the sec first.

I would hate for my WR kid to go to school at pro-style offense coached by an NFL OC, with the top rated QB in the nation throwing passes to him.....

Not really sure why a Tennessee fan is posting that interview except to flame Georgia a little. The father also went on to praise Auburn's wide receiver coach. The guy who conducted the interview almost immediately crystal balled him to Auburn. If you really want a laugh over that interview, you should check out the recruiting thread on the Georgia board. They melted down big time over that interview

Georgia on your mind 24/7. Sad.

Far from a "melt." Oh look, you use overplayed words and don't even know how to use them. Surprise.

A couple of our posters simply pointing out out facts about what the dad said....and how it was wrong. But, thank you for continued fear of UGA. Makes my morning reading some of the Auburn fodder you throw around.

And in a follow up interview, Kyle said his dad didn't know what he was talking about. Went on to say he was a momma's boy and that his mom is closer to Thomas Brown and Mclendon than even he is. He's coming to Georgia. Don't get your hopes up.

He also told people in a separate interview that Auburn had his favorite stadium and coeds. Sounds like Auburn to me
