When your best win is MTSU yeah, you suck. But I wasn't even speaking about the on the field accomplishments. I was talking about nationally, no ones like oh boy I have heard so many great things about Mississippi state!

In all honesty I can't say anything bad about Freeze. He seems like a genuine good guy who is a good coach. He lets the OM alumi do the dirty work so he doesnt have to do with Brewer, Orgeron, and Nutt did.

Go ahead and compare them for me... or better yet, let's compare them next week, how about that?

Bundy is just being Bundy... you know, by acting like a recruiting guru while REPEATEDLY misspelling the names of top prospects..

Serious question, OM has 3 RBs committed in Dodson, Brazly, and Barber right. Why are fans and posters so obsessed with Kailo? I know he is a good player, but you guys have been going bananas about him flipping for months.

If yall get him, congrats, but if you dont I dont want to hear an of this he couldn't commit or he missed the boat BS.

Because you kept saying over and over that he is 100% bulldog when you had absolutely no idea. Your resistance to the flip made the flip strong

How about on NSD

I think yall could end up with a very solid class, but a lot has to happen for that to be so.

First if you dont flip Dodds, then you will have a huge QB hole and that nice 4 star rating wont mean shite in real life if Cord goes pro.

If Kailo flips, which I think is 50%, then you have to land Shumpert just to save face with instate recruiting. I do think yall lead for him and aside from Conner, I believe he is the top prospect in the state.

From what I've read from you and others, yall seem to think Z. Smith is locked up, I have no reason to doubt that so lets assume he commits as well.

And lastly your big fish Jalen Ramsey. I know Brew has yall in on some good players, but he is your best shot at a big time player.

3 things have to happen for this class to be good..

You have to land Dodds
You have to land Shumpert and
You have to land Ramsey

If any combination of those three occur its a very solid class. If not then you will not have a single HS commit with an OOS BCS offer. Not one. Now I know that Jones has a lot of upside, but even if he turns into half the stud yall think he is then you have one elite HS commit and two elite juco players. Thats not a solid class.

Now Im sure you want to say Mix has a ton of OOS BCS offers, but if youre honest with yourself you know none are committable. Same with the WR from Alabama.

I think you have some solid players. I love Scott Austin and I think Gabe is extremely underrated. But you cant build a class with just those type of kids and compete in the SEC. Get two out of those 3 I mentioned earlier or all three and you can build a solid class around them with the other committed players.

I know OM has a lot of "what ifs" that could turn our class from a top 10 class to just a top 25 and that is why I said, lets compare on NSD.

On a serious note, we are recruiting about 20 guys extremely hard right now. We are recruiting every single kid as if they are one of the final 9. There will be some kids who don't choose OM, but there will also be guys that OM doesn't choose. As far as the whole "we don't have room for Kailo" I'm with Bundy and agree it shouldn't be used. I don't know everything that goes into Freeze's mind, but no matter needs, winning the state in recruiting means something. Losing both Shumpert and Kailo, while not detrimental to our RB class, it would allow state to claim more of the states best. Once again, I don't know exactly what's going on in Freeze's head, but unless we land Green, we will go after Kailo and he would take the last spot if he wanted it

Sounds like a winner to me.

How are we judging said classes, since you are likely to take at least 5 more players than we do? 24/7 composite average rating seems fair(even though Rivals/ESPN is generally a joke on rating MSU kids, while Scout overranks us and 24/7 gets it about right)?

Looking at straight class ranking when you outsign us = 2009 class all over again.

Nah, we are both smarter than that. Look at my edit two post above and you can break down our class that way if you'd want, but a composite from 247 is fine with me. As long as you can see the difference in a 4 star juco and a 4 star HS player along with Cord's ranking meaning dog shite since he will not play at State.

I dont know about the other rankings, but I know scout takes your top 25 players and thats it. So having more players doenst mean a higher ranking just because of numbers. But 247 or its composite is fine with me. Hooks be a 5 star there

I see us closing with 4 four star recruits

Ashton Shumpert
Za'Darius Smith
Josh Dobbs
Tommy Sanders (JUCO LB)

Will will get 2 high 3 star JUCO WRs
Jeremy Chappelle 88 on 247
Javess Blue 87

We also could land a wildcard 4 star such as Jalen Ramsey, Mckensie Alexander, or Myles Jack.

Then you would have a very solid class. Especially if Kailo sticks which is just as good a chance as him flipping if not better.

You are overlooking a whole bunch of the possibilities left in our class at this point...which is good. Leads to a bunch of "Autry moments" like we enjoyed last year.

I think Shump, Dobbs, and Za'Darius are all-but-given at this point. If we weren't confident that we are getting Dobbs, we would have been chasing the hell out of other QBs, which we haven't done. We are all worried that Sandberg takes the MLB money. He's now a top 50 Baseball America prospect as well... Not looking good. That said, alot can happen in an entire senior season.

Did your OOS BCS offers statement come directly from Yancy? Seriously? Jones is playing in the UA game... Do you really think he doesn't have offers and/or won't get them? Fact is, we locked down most of this class very early. If guys tell schools they won't officially visit them, what motivation do schools have to give them a "committable offer"? Your logic on that is redundant at best. Even then, it's nowhere near correct. Do I think Mix's offers are committable? I don't know. But I know he was a heavily, heavily recruited OL before committing to us. Yeah I know "he was bad at OM's camp and Freeze passed on him, yadayadayada." What about Shelby Christy's 9 BCS offers?

End of the day, we're still seriously in play with about 7-8 more 4 and 5 star talents outside of the ones you didn't mention, with a couple high 3 stars left on the board... You left out that we are still seriously in the running for Corey Smith, MacKensie Alexander, Carroll Washington, Tommy Sanders, Elijah Daniel, Mackenro Alexander, Jeremey Chappelle, and you did mention Moore, Dobbs, Za'Darius, and Ramsey...

I think both schools can potentially put together their best signing classes in the history of recruiting rankings at the same time this year. To act like Ole Miss's class is going to soar while State's falls apart is nowhere near a given at this point. State's class is much "safer" than OM's... and the reason I say that is because we aren't reliant on one player to bring it all together. Without Nkemdiche, you still end up with a very good class - but you don't likely get Treadwell or Daniel.
