While I want to respond, I'm going to end it here. Don't want the recruiting board to turn into the Rant.

I am friends with Landon personally and you betcha he has some hard feelings against LSU fans. He loves his city and state as much as anyone but you guys put him through hell to say the least.

He keeps bringing it on himself. Until he learns to ignore the scrutiny and keep his mouth shut, he's going to get it all and more.

And nothing says he loves his city and the state of Louisiana quite like playing football at Alabama. Does he seriously not understand how LSU fans don't get his logic there?

Why would this turn into the Rant? Speedy is a great talent, he was also #3 on our board. Just because he doesn't fit a pro-style offense doesn't mean he won't have a great career

I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I love my city and state yet I am not a UGA fan and would not want to play football there. Furthermore, to contradict what I just said, 99% of us have not had the opportunity to be recruited. You have to do what is best for you and Landon does not regret his decision one bit and he shouldn't.

Can't blame Speedy, honestly. If I was the 3rd highest WR on the board I'd probably look elsewhere as well.

My 2 cents is... Speedy is a guy you don't pass on, period.

Gerald committed to Florida in early November on his OV. He had said he liked Florida from the beginning.
Same as Speedy, the signs were there the entire time. We were just too overconfident to notice.

Right, right. But now he says he is actively trying to recruit players out of Louisiana so it sounds like he's making it more than just his decision if he's now trying to influence others Louisiana players that aren't his brother. Maybe he should let coach Saban do the recruiting and focus on his play and his school work.

If he really did commit to Florida in November, then why not just make it official? The level headed LSU fans get over situations like this quickly, but obviously youre going to to catch some ridicule when you play the state'a flagship university. That seems to contradict the "I love my state and city" theory when the majority of both are pro-LSU

Just weird to me that Collins would recommend and help Florida.

He wasn't necessarily trying to help Florida. He was more trying to hurt LSU. Nevertheless, he is still an a-hole at the end of the day.

Recruits are hosted by players and players recruit them thats part of being a player in college. LSU does it, Bama does it, everyone does it.

Who ever said we passed on him? We got our top 2 receivers and failed to get our 3rd. It happens!

The problem is that a portion of every sec fan base fails to acknowledge that it's just a game. We're rival 120+ million dollar athletic programs that have coaches who make a living primarily off the decisions of 18-year-olds. It's not that much to ask the kids to he blunt and straightforward about their intentions. Like I previously said-Denzel devall handle his recruiting like recruits who have no interest in LSU should handle it. It looks like Kirk Merritt is doing the same. I guess you can't blame the two when their mom is the biggest drama queen in football history

I know they do, but that makes it sounds like Bama is intentionally getting Collins to host Louisiana players cause they know he will badmouth LSU to them. They could get Collins to host players from states other than Louisiana. But hey all is fair so whatever.

It just doesn't sound like Collins decision was all about Collins if that's the case. As others have said when he goes out of his way to badmouth LSU to Louisiana recruits he brings it on himself the reaction he gets from LSU fans.

I'd like to hear Landon's bestie tell us what he was put through. I've known his family for a long time btw.

Collins will certainly be bitter after losing the only game he's ever played in tiger stadium this year.
