Maybe those clemson fans are simply repeating exactly what RN has been quoted as saying in many of the links linked in this post. RN says exactly that in that AJC article linked above - he loves Clemson, but his mom wants him to go to Ole Miss. From reading those recruiting updates, seems to me that AJC and ESPN journalists are getting quotes from interviewing RN, not some random Clemson fans.

Well, wait...from reading all the posts above, I thought the Ole Miss coaches gameplan all along was for RN to stay verbally committed publically to Clemson throughout the season and not decommit so that all the other college football powers don't realize that RN's recruiting is open again and come in and start recruiting him? So which is it? Is he decommitting and committing soon to Ole Miss or not?

What ya'll are saying about his family is true. He loves Clemson but his parents don't.
Friend of mine is from Grayson High School and played/is friends with Robert Nkemdiche. He said supposedly his parents don't like Clemson at all and pushing him extremely hard to go elsewhere. Something along the lines of his parents wouldn't let him go there.
As long as he doesn't go to Alabama I am okay with it.

The kid needs to be a man and decide for himself instead of letting his family push their desires on him. Thank god my parents let me make my own choices when looking at colleges.
ETA: Not a flame I would like to see him land in Oxford I just think he has handled his recruiting poorly.

They are lifetime state fans but I considered going to AU or GA Tech and they let me make my own decision. I knew I wanted to do engineering and all 3 schools had stellar programs. Obviously Tech would have been the best choice but I didn't like the school when I visited. I also wanted to walk on and play baseball so state was kind of the dream for me growing up. Like I said nobody makes perfect decisions but I don't think he has handled his recruitment well, if he wants to be at Ole Miss he should commit and help them haul in recruits.

I visited tech as well. That place is miserable. There were like 5 girls at the event I went to and all were meh.
