I really hope y'all get him. Was in Oxford this weekend visiting my brother and am rooting for Ole miss the rest of the way....except for one particular weekend in early November

He isn't going to Clemson. I'm confident in that. He will still take an official to Alabama. So maybe there's a glimmer of hope that Alabama is the "compromise" school with his parents' choice (Ole Miss) and where his friends are (Clemson).

I remember how you were saying he was absolutely going to Alabama and there was zero chance he would go to Ole Miss. I think back on it and I smile.

Mickey Conn, his head coach, is an Alabama grad. His father posts on BOL. The same lines about "don't worry with RN" kept being rolled out. What else was I to think? His recruitment got crazier than I could have ever believed.

I guess you can't be blamed but you're usually pretty arrogant about recruiting. It's just nice for us to see what we told everyone would happen all along, especially after all of the other fans mocking us for it.

I've been wrong about a prospect before and will be again. That being said, Ole Miss was coming off a 2-10 season. Even with the solid hire, why would anyone realistically believe the nation's top prospect would sign with a program in that situation (even with his less heralded brother there)?

I guess you have a point, no need to continue. I'm just happy to even be in this position.

If his father has any eligibility left, then I think Clemson offers him too to seal the deal.

Is this guy really worth all of the trouble? What other guys could Ole Miss reel in that could give them the production of Nkemdiche?

I cannot wait to see how Clemson handles the entire situation when RN decommits. FWIW, I think Nkemdiche ends up at OM.

He is not really causing any trouble with us. He is laying low right now but I think the coaches know what he is going to do.

OM lock, but not till late. Even though he will help your class, it won't get you more recruits because of how late he will flip. Just my 2 cents, but regardless, one hell of a win for the Rebels.

I don't think Clempson is out of it by any means - close to home and his friends are going there.

However, there's a ton of momentum in OM's favor... I suppose if they finish 4-8 or 5-7 there could be more cause for concern, but I still think they have a better shot than the field at this point.

By no means do I have a crystal ball but I feel comfortable saying we will find a way to win 2 more.

Like I've said from the beginning, Nkemdiche will sign with Clemson.

FootballNostradamus - you are a Clemson fan, right? If so, do you visit the Clemson websites? I'm just curious if the Clemson "insider moderators" have been telling their fans that Clemson should anticipate a "flip" as the other Ole Miss thread on RN reported that the Clemson websites were doing. Just curious what the Clemson folks were saying from their end and whether it meshed with what the Ole Miss website guys were saying the Clemson people were saying.

I'm mainly an LSU fan, but I moved to SC about 8 years ago and took some grad classes at Clemson so yea I follow them as well.

As far as what the mods are saying, I don't really follow recruiting through websites. I used to do some part-time coaching in the panhandle of Florida and my brother currently coaches in Georgia so any info I get is from coaching contacts.

I did text a friend who said the Clemson recruiting sites are still projecting him to Clemson, but they're acknowledging the Ole Miss threat more than previously. He said its a 65-35 thing or maybe 60-40. He doesn't know of a single site prepping fans for a flip and he follows pretty much every site imaginable haha.
