I'd put us in the top 7 right now based solely on what we were able to do in only a month. Mark my words this staff will be top 5 possibly top 3 by the beginning of 2017. Spurriers staff was pulling top 15-20 classes and there recruiting was very lax

As far as ability of staff to recruit I'd say usc is close to uga, which is what this thread is about. However, I also think that uga should absolutely be able to finish with a higher ranked class strictly on in state talent. If smart can keep ten of the top twenty players from Georgia every year there's no reason uga should ever be outside the top 10 class. But keeping in state kids isn't what most would consider good recruiting, getting top Talent from out of state away from their in state schools is.

That's what I had orginally. UGA folks kept arguing....gave them 1b to make them happy. Their tears were getting the thread soggy. Orginally had them at 6 or 5.

I've been registered on this site since Feb 2010 (before the ATPB thread, which you likely never saw). Not that post count matters much, but a ban bet for one user on the site with 8,400+ posts to a guy with 115 posts is like asking me to put up 73:1 odds. I'll pass - not b/c I don't believe in my original premise, but b/c you aren't worth the bet.

No I'm a believer in the university.. I wouldn't care if Les left.We would not miss a beat..Besides the only thing I've seen from Georgia the last 4 year's that impressed me was the Rb's .. So it doesn't look like they've been out recruiting LSU's staff.Are do all those classes just look good on paper? Looks like it hasn't really transpired into nfl talent..

UGA got pretty lucky this last class. The new staff walked into commitments from 2 5* kids that had lasted over a year.

Today at full staff I put LSU above UGA. We literally just landed a top 5 recruiter in Craig and the Frank Wilson replacement is a virtual lock to hold down NOLA, given his past and reputation there. That puts LSU with two top 10 recruiters in Craig and Peveto and another in the top 20 in Orgeron.
