Joe Namath was a #1 overall to the AFL draft to the Jets. Nevermind what Namath, Starr, and Stabler accomplished in the NFL.

I stated that he was picked first and signed for more money than any other QB from the state of Alabama, EVER. After he was developed by LSU coaches he probably made more in that first contract than all Bama QBs combined. Think about that my friend.

He probably made more than all QBs drafted from the 1960s.

Thanks for the substantive, mature and direct reply to my original post.

Bama has so much talent at WR and I think Saban really wants to develop this young group of guys to help them reach their full potential.

As an LSU fan I hope this doesn't come to fruition!

Excellent receivers. Honestly I'm jealous even though lsu has been solid

Chris Black actually had a couple TDs this year

You can't argue with his numbers. He is under the impression that the value of the dollar is the same at any given time in history and that demand, agents, and revenue generated which is guided to players via the union keeps the QBs in today's market on par with the QBs back in the day.

The man using way to much logic. He is all knowing.

He gathered stats against the likes of Colorado State, Georgia State, and Tennessee-Chattanooga. Nothing to brag about.

Yet he will have to watch Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry get drafted much higher and sign for millions more in up-front money.

You actually answered my question about the development of Bama WRs under Nick Saban.
Thanks pal!!

Run, run, play action isn't exactly the best offense for a wide receiver to go off on a defense.

Fine WRs should go to LSU. But what about offensive linemen? That's not even a contest. When's the last time LSU even had one drafted? Poor development there, huh?

Yes Sir!! That's why so many of us have been calling for our O-line coach to be fired.

See how easy that was? No deflection. No defensiveness. Just the cold hard truth.

But then again I don't derive my self-esteem from a game played by 18-22 year old young men.

Not 1 gumptard will just simply admit that the WRs have not been developed well in the Saban era. I really do feel like I'm picking on the mentally retarded. God knows I wasn't raised that way!!

Why give you the satisfaction of hearing something that you want to hear, when it's not true? Alabama has had the same group of WRs for the better part of four years. They're just now progressing trough the program.

The issues that have existed are clearly not on Saban. He did have quite the top WRs at Michigan State and LSU. Mike Groh righted some issues with the WRs when he was hired. Norwood, Cooper, and White will go a long way in addressing a lack of NFL draft success at the position.

It should be obvious to anyone with three brain cells that I'm getting plenty satisfaction watching grown men, I assume, defend the indefensible.
You people really do fascinate me.

He will be able to tell his grandkids that he was Senior Bowl MVP and that he caught a whopping 4 passes for 78yds with 0 TDs against the Honey Badger in the BCS title game.

Unfortunately they may ask him why he wasn't drafted higher with such accolades associated with those achievements!!

Still looking for that 1 special Bama poster.
I know your'e out there. Just need 1 humble soul to admit that WRs haven't been developed in Nick's time at Bama. I feel like I'm leading a group therapy session.

Yes and was the biggest bust in Alabama state history. The biggest bust in LSU's history. Had poor character and a poor attitude.

Great job developing that talent.

I'm pretty sure Dee Ford was named the MVP.
