I think you're selling Dobbs a little short. Go look at UT's WR corps from last year outside of North. Straight garbage.

He told Reuben Foster he was coming to Bama on his Bama OV. He reiterated it to RF during Saturday Night Fever the weekend before NSD. Thus why Reuben's uncle came on to BOL to tell us he felt good about RE to Bama when almost nobody else was giving us a chance.
RaShaan Evans also told Gus Malzahn, and the entire Auburn staff, he was coming to Auburn (this happened on more than one occasion) immediately after the Iron Bowl, and silently committed. He also told Stephen Roberts (a week in advance, and the night before) and JaKell Mitchell that he was committing to Auburn, which is why they went to his announcement.

Either way, it's water under the bridge now. I'm ready to see one or two of Derrick Moncrief, Justin Garrett, Robenson Therezie, or Brandon King at STAR. We have a lot of depth and options with the hybrid position.

if Ferguson doesn't work out, no you're not fine... It's pretty clear the two Sophomores are mediocre QBs... maybe they'll develop over the next year or two into SEC calibre players, but it's a big unknown.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think Butch Jones' career at UT is in the hands of Riley Fergeson.

Dobbs could still be a good QB. He started as a true freshman and got hurt. Give me your number and I'll pass it along to Butch. Sounds like he could use your recruiting and personnel expertise.

It does take a rocket surgeon to see UTs QB situation is boarder line dog shite... ferg better be as good as advertised or it's gonna be a short tenure for butch.

Dobbs was a true freshman thrown in in the second half of a game on the road against the number one team in the country, then had to play a top 10 Missouri and then auburn, so I really don't see how you can just automatically declare him dog shite.

But thanks for your opinion

Also remember he hurt his thumb pretty bad in the Mizzou game. No way of telling how good he could be. People on here don't know their arse from a hole in the ground, but think they have insight into the QB situation.

That guy has been saying this shite about UT's QB situation for awhile now. If anything, Butch not taking a QB I'm this class means he really likes what he sees from Dobbs or Ferguson. The only QB I can even remember Butch going hard after last cycle was Cornwell.

hey, i could be wrong... happens all the time...

imo, we saw enough from dobbs last year to have a pretty good idea he's not SEC-Calibre... or at the very least, has a long way to go to get there. He's got a funky motion, average armstrength, poor accuracy, and didn't seem to grasp the offense. And to be honest, his athleticism is good, but not elite. granted, he's a bright kid who will certianly improve.

with the way it played out in 2013, and the fact he didn't sign a QB in the 14 class, I don't think it's a stretch to say it's all or nothing with Fergeson.

eta: i'll be interested to see if Butch targets any JUCO QBs for the 2015 class... someone who can come in and compete right away for the job.

No. Dobbs Ferguson, and Worley (beat #4 SC) are all viable options. Even Peterman has a shot.

Yeah, I know it's hard to believe after his performance last year at UF, but CBJ insists it is an open competition between the 4

Maybe, but Peterman looked BAAAAAAAAAAAD!I think Dobbs has a chance to be really good. I saw flashes last year.

I also saw flashes. I'm not sold of course. But I'm not counting him out. He was a true freshman, non-early-enrollee.

Ture, but I'm almost positive that Peterman broke his thumb in one of the first few series and didn't tell the coaches, so that had something to sdo with it as well

I'll eat my hat if Peterman ever takes another snap at Tennessee.

Yeah, i'm saying he has a shot, but i'm putting him at a distant fourth, unless something crazy happens
