Fair enough. I think you are saying he brought enough credibility in to keep the thing together - without him it may have blown up.

You don't think having a good defense factors in to offensive recruits.

Kevin Murray tweeted
Easy to win at the HS level w/o a Defense----that's where it ends!!

You think tu was working Murray because they have a prolific offense? No, the can field a good defense which makes Kyler's job easier.

I'm not saying Chavis the reason, but one of many. If A&M doesn't fire Synder then I doubt A&M would have kept Kyler.

Texas is where they have been going all along and today's announcement was expected.

IMHO Chavis has positively helped recruiting. I'd point out that these two had one SEC offer outside A&M.

Chavis is great and your D will be much improved.

Your secondary will be solid and D line tough however he hasn't developed his backers these last few seasons and stuck with Welter wayyyy too long.

Another point is that LSU had such a great defense because of the games outside of conference. In Conference we were middle of the road I believe.

Auburn hung 41 points on LSU because our Offense sucked, everyone knows that! But he'll Aggie can out score anyone with a decent D..........59-0

1. That is not true. Moore shows offers from Ole Miss & Mizzou.

2. Moore had tons of options and a lot of good schools outside the SEC came calling like Nebraska, Wisco, Baylor, TCU, Okie St, Arizona St, and more.

3. Thomas was a late bloomer who was targeted by OU, TTU, and KU. Not a list of world beaters, but definitely more impressive than ULALA.

I don't claim either to be the next coming of Von Miller, but we have needs at LB and once Chavis came aboard we filled that need immediately with opportunities to continue to do so.

The offense sucked but the defense sucked worse. If you look at the numbers in conference and bowls his Defense wasn't tough b
