Just genuinely curious. Kickers with his skillset should consider where they will be 10 years from now and how a school can influence that. Alabama is a good school, but you want to challenge yourself and have a great life as well

The kid has been wishy washy all along and a bit of a flake but he is a kicker so.... He apparently lied to our staff about the Miss St. visit. We found out when he cancelled an in home and said he was going to State instead because his punter buddy was taking a visit there and blamed it on miscommunication with a Tech assistant who just left for GA Southern. So I guess blame it on the coach who's no longer there. Lol. He still came for his official this past weekend to Tech but who knows who dropped who in this deal.

Since the coaches can't comment we may never know but some have said that we told him we were moving on after having him here for the weekend and others have said he reaffirmed his commitment only to turn around 24 hours later and decommit. Either way I'm glad it worked out this way for Tech.

you practically did go that far. what are you talking about?

the implication made by the "but" is that you are comparing two situations. one is good BUT you want to challenge yourself and have a great life as well. implication being the other of the two options is the place to challenge ones self and have a great life. GT has grads who do well, and grads who don't. This is the same at Bama. Life is what you make of it, not where you spent 4 years in your late teens/early 20's. If this kid wants a great life, then he will need to make one for himself. I would contend that the connections he makes at a place like Bama would benefit him quite considerably long term, especially if he is able to produce on the football field and further his personal brand in front of a large audience.

Nah, we've broken the kicker hex the old cajun woman put on us by getting a kicker from LA.

Must have been a recent one, as Bama had Gunnar Rayborn before getting booted in '15.

Seem like nowadays most kids pick better football schools over academics. It is a millenial thing from what I can tell

Frankly, this kid seems to be a bit of a dipshit.

But he didn't start. The key to breaking the hex is for the Louisiana kicker to start.

Yep. She cast a favorable spell on starting LA college and pro kickers. Spells cannot be amended, only reversed. She won't reverse it.

He almost took Griffith's job before getting an XP blocked only to never be seen again, then the legal trouble.

An 8 page thread on a kicker. That's impressive!
