I'm not jean.
I also know MS has significantly more talent this year than it has since 2009 -- and a bunch of that talent falls in traditional MSU strongholds, whereas most of it fell in OM strongholds last year.
Surge just like last year -- from the 60s into the teens in a matter of one week surrounding our first camp. Everyone realizes that Mullen recruits around that camp at this point.
In the meantime, OM fans will double down on their recruiting shite talk when Cohen rips their hearts out -- Bundy will fly into weekly meltdowns -- before starting new threads for every recruit we get that week -- status quo maintained.

Keeping Chris Jones in Starkville was quite a surge. The rest of State's 2013 class is shite.

Damn, I guess you'll surely best us this year in MS recruiting...

Of course. Just like last year -- and 2009, 2010, 2012...

Not even necessary. I already know how the OM 'crootin hype machine works. Same reason I didn't argue with you fools in 09 when you declared a 'crootin victory. Just sat back and watched us put what will be almost 50% of a class into the NFL -- while almost all of your bigtime guys didn't pan out, got kicked off, didn't make it in for grades, etc...

Did State have a better class than Ole Miss this year or is it all hype?

Ole Miss had a better(overall) class this year. No doubt about it if they all get in, which is a question for another day. Doesn't mean State had some sort of bad class in any way. It was not "Chris Jones and a bunch of scrubs". When Cord Sandberg shows up, it'll go from a good class to a great class -- on the heels of a great 2012 class.
It's like people forgot about the 2012 class because we redshirted almost all of them -- they will see a reminder in week 1 against OK State...

Ready for Russell to graduate so we can go back to the offense that our staff can actually run efficiently with Dak and Cord -- and for heavy attrition to our lackluster 10 and 11 classes when the young guys surpass a bunch of them.
One thing we've got that we've never had before is quality depth across the board. Not much dropoff between the first and second teams anywhere but QB(with Dak currently recovering from surgery) and the 4th OT slot...
The way I see it personally, Mullen's foundation won't be fully laid until 2014 and I'll tell you why(you'll see the same thing with Freeze to an extent). The 2009 class was excellent -- but we had to play half of those guys immediately, when all besides Fletcher Cox and MAYBE Chad Bumphis would have redshirted had Mullen's system for building depth already been in place when those guys signed. How good could this upcoming MSU team be with Banks, Slay, Boyd, Lawrence, Chris Smith, maybe Bumphis, etc coming back next year? So after Mullen redshirted practically everyone in 2010, what we were left with is 2 basic half-classes for 2009 -- the first half that graduated this year(about 17 guys), the next half that graduate next year(only 12 guys)..

I don't see Mullen ever out-recruiting Freeze.

Wait, do you really think we're deeper at OG and C than OT?

Yes -- according to what I saw in the spring game, the only place I noticed a real dropoff between the first and second teams was at second team left tackle with Senior in there.
Our second team OGs and C were motor graders in the spring game for Milton. I thought they were better in run blocking than Day, Jackson, and Malone were in that one game(only time I've been able to actually see them this spring)...
