Are you kidding?

Notwithstanding the fact that "all-in" is relative, you actually think it requires pursuit of a kid after being told "no, I'm not going to your school"?

Okay.

To that I'll respond: my interpretation of "all-in" excludes chasing something you know there's shot to have.

Fair enough?

So how many commitments does A&M expect this year? 40? Give or take a few?

Hoza Scott was offered by LSU seven months before Paris.

So unless LSU has adopted some reverse-chronological methodology to begin the recruiting process for those they want most, allow me to say that 247's composite ranking is inapposite.

We're taking RSJ and the Hawaiian LB and that will do it.

I'm actually lying about the Paris and Scott dates of offer.

But that would be a sick burn.

As an aside, I imagine LSU did offer Scott before Paris. Not sure, though.

Doesn't matter, LSU will be hoping to land Reuben Foster this year.

Cool, I don't guarantee any commitments, I've followed recruiting long enough to know better, and you can't possibly think Hoza Scott is ending the recruiting process now. You can definitely expect to hear rumors about him flirting with other schools or possibly de-committing until he signs.

I am Hoping with the few grade risk, we make room for Alexander. I believe he would be a game changer and his skill set could get even better competing against the elite wr corp we have coming in this class. Competition of that kind will help eliminate any kind of complacent attitudes...and hungry kids are looking for such.

The general point is that LSU doesn't have first dibs in Texas and never has. While Texas might have been the state's primary protector of in state talent, A&M has assumed that role for now.

Don't be too smug Aggies. Texas will be around and dominant for a long long time. When Johnny come lately is not playing anymore the Horns will again pull the weight in TX...

As long as Mack Brown continues to be their head corch, I'm not worried.

Your ignorance of college football history over the last 30 years in Texas is stunning.

Wait I thought Nick Harvey was the #1 player in Texas next year .... its amazing how its changed in a little over a week.

Per Scout:

Nick Harvey CB - No. 4 at his position in TX, No. 10 in the nation.

Hoza Scott OLB - No. 1 at his postion in TX, No. 1 in the nation.

While Nick is not ranked No. 1 at his position, he is still one of 4 TX DBs ranked in the top 10 nationally.

Nick is a great DB. Hoza?.....well......need to check out his film. The kid is a beast.

Well I guess we've got 3 years to make the most of it.

Over the last 30 years both A&M and Texas have had periods of dominance in the State. Right now A&M has all the momentum and with the SEC move and the success in the SEC A&M has a true advantage over Texas it has not had before. In the past when we were dominating Texas it was because we were simply a better program. Now we are not only the better program but we are in the far superior conference with far more national pub.

There are still a lot of fools that think how Texas was dominant in the '50s and '60s when there were no scholarship limits and A&M was a male military college somehow has relevance on what 18 year old kids want to go to school in the 2010's. There is very, very little that Texas can offer that is different than A&M anymore and A&M has many things to offer that Texas cannot.

I was just told that Hoza is pronounced "Jose." Can this be confirmed? If so, that is the funniest thing I've ever heard. In 50 years it will be as common as Shawn (instead of the Irish name Sean).

Some of you ags need to cool your jets.

Lsu will always get a couple kids from texas who are high quality and want to party it up out of state and stay sec

Texas might not have pick of the litter status now that we are running shite but they will get some talent every year. How can you not when you have austin, 6th st and fine hoes.

The guys that should be worried are OU and Arky
-neither state has the consistant talent like LA and TX and they NEED these types of players to do well.
