Most local have Hoza as #1. The very fact that orangebloods has a guy that committed to us(twitter comments) as #1 speaks volumes.

Regardless, all guys being mentioned are top of the charts on any site... Why the hell is everyone acting stupid about something so meaningless?

doesn't freaking matter. when Brown's sister decides to commit to A&M for track, you can pretty much count him out too. you can have Paris though.

When faced with the truth one results to insults, rather sad actually.

Paris and Brown are really high on LSU. Those are facts. Browns sister is also high on LSU's track program.

LSU will always get theirs in the state of Texas

Brown could go either way.

Neither A&M nor Texas have offered Brandon Simmons. Again, local guys usually have a better early handle on the talent than the national guys. When the national guys are higher on a recruit than the local guys, there is usually a reason why. It should tell you something that neither A&M nor Texas have offered Simmons, despite his large offer sheet.

Not really. Yeah, you guys get some players. But you don't come in and cherry pick. You didn't get Parker and you're not getting RSJ. And when you do cherry pick, you're getting guys you don't have competition for (e.g. Mills).

Btw, who do y'all have from Texas this year? Not flaming I just can't remember.

You guys might get Brown and Paris. But like I said, they don't represent any kind of paradigm shift in the state (like A&M).

This is just wrong. I live here and that's not true. Let the Aggies have their fun. They had a good year and Texas is down.

LSU doesn't have one commit from Texas this year.

This year is an anomaly in that regard. We didn't really pursue that many guys in Texas this year. RSJ and Kyrion Parker are the only two I can think of right now. There were some DLs that we talked to a little but never really went after all that hard.

We focused in other areas this year for some reason. Normally we have at least a couple from there.

According to rivals, you have offered the following kids from Texas:

RSJ, Jones, Perkins, Swoopes, James, Manning, David, A Davis, Thomas, Wilson, Prevot, Smith, Barrett, Warrick, and Parker.

That makes you 0-15, assuming you didn't offer anyone else.

I've heard that Hoza Scott is a stud player....but I have also heard through family connection that he may have some issues. Apparently he lives with a different family not his own and is a handful to watch. Who knows if anything will happen, just keep an eye out Aggies.

Manning committed to A&M yesterday. There were several threads about it.

ETA: Ignore. I thought the comment was about A&M offering, not LSU.

Hoza Scott was suspended for 3 games already at the beginning of this past season.

Do you have any idea how much actual time was spent recruiting each of these guys? If I had to guess it wasn't nearly as much as other players in Louisiana on LSU's radar. Plenty of schools offer kids they don't get, but that doesn't mean they went all in. LSU just needs to lock down Louisiana for the most part and they'll get top talent and compete at the top of CFB, and this is evident by their elite results and championships with a majority Louisiana roster.

It must be that those guys weren't very good, huh?

I mean, that's the only explanation for why they didn't end up at LSU, right?

I'll say this now: LSU might land Paris, but that will be the only elite Texas talent they land in '14.

Sorry but our guys started investing in him. He'll be an Ag if we want him. If not, maybe he'll go to LSU. But again, we'll dictate the terms upon which LSU lands Texas players--as usual.

They'll probably keep Hardeman, too, and he's top flight.

Really? LSU is about to get jack shite in '13, don't see why it's delusional to think you are going come in the year after that and just cherry pick.
