Ok, I'm just saying we weren't the 6th most talented team in the nation this year so that ranking system could use a little bit of work.

Obviously recruiting rankings aren't an exact science, but the rankings did go off current rosters and not just combining the past X number of classes IIRC so technically yes, you had the 6th most talented roster this year whether UGA fans want to admit it or not.

But I understand, gotta find ways to give a questionable coaching hire a pass

No argument there it just shows who has recruited well from a star standpoint over the previous seasons. Tells you nothing about balance or development only what has come in on NSD. It's obvious after NSD has been the problem at UGA and thus why Smart is there now which what I was getting at earlier

That's just not true. I'd call you a count but you lack the warmth and depth.

Argue with guys who evaluate talent for a living if you want to, but I'll pass

Slipped my mind. Sorry, will adjust the OP.

Baffles me how god awful Florida have been on the recruiting trail. Tennessee can be explained, Butch is a fig and we under performed massively this season. Florida have won the division two times in a row and are not capitalizing on it at all

let's not act like UGA has not been recruiting on a high level in recent years.

We haven't been recruiting on a level THIS high in recent years, if ever. Specifically, we have never signed an OL class like this one, and we haven't signed a safety like Lecounte in a long time. Those have been 2 positions of weakness. So have DB and WR.

Not necessarily. You sign some shite heads (matthews and wiggins) or kids that get injured (Terry) or kids that were overrated from the start (ramsey and Kublunow), then you recruited the wrong kids. You really need to take a look at that 2013 class and look at the quality of the players on the list, but I know you are too lazy to do it. Very little top level talent on it, and tons of filler at the bottom.

You continue to ignore experience and the unequal dispersement of talent across the roster. OL, WR, and DB were major talent problems this year. ILB, DL and QB were major inexperience problems this year.

You have finished 3rd in recruiting in the SEC 2 out of the last 4 seasons Richt was there.

Awesome, so we've finished 2nd in our division this year. which fits right into what I was saying. We generally finish 4-6 in the SEC. Now we're looking to finish second overall and first in our division.

Yes, but our 2013 group was exceptional in that regard. UGA signed over 30 and got 6 contributors out of the group.

Well thank god coaching counts for nothing. May as well go on ahead and give UGA a trophy or something. Did it ever occur to you numb nuts your coaches not knowing what the frick they are doing is the reason your 4 best juniors arent high on any draft boards?

Cant wait to see how many from this class get moved out due to dumbassery.

50th ranked class. 28-27 bitches. Coaching.

I don't think the Florida staff moves the needle all that much for top recruits like Kirby and his staff does right now.

If Smart can't capitalize the next hot shot coach will take his place for recruiting in the division.
