So, why do he and his parents get a pass? He brought them into the equation every time.
And if you want to see a coach pushing a kid, you should read the AJC article with Andrew Williams coach basically saying he's pushing AU and Clemson and not UGA.

You may be right but lots of coaches help in the recruiting process. For some players it's the only father figure they have and the kids trust them.
Key and Green both have a father figure besides Cortez Allen.

Those quotes don't show me the coach was pressuring him in any direction.
The quotes may not show a "to UGA" direction, but theres definitely a "not USC" direction in them
But I think an unbiased party can at least say he took piss poor advise if he can't even name a reason why he decommitted
That and he probably just played follow the leader with Wesley Green. Which is why I think he recommits

He said it was the decision of 3 parties:
1) himself
2) his family
3) his coach
Sounds like you're believing what you want to believe.

It's DeKalb County. It's a guessing game with most of those kids.

He may very well recommit. His new school makes me nervous that his grades aren't up to par though.

Like it or not every players coach is part of the recruiting process. Having a coach be a fan of another team is one of the risks you take when recruiting out of state prospects.

I read that he was changing schools but didn't see that it was grade related.
We're still sweating out 3 of our big dline recruits this year (Thomas and Sawyer from GA, Wideman from SC)

Any time a player switches from a public school to a private/charter school I worry because it usually means they are doing it for grade purposes in Ga because of the graduation tests.

Gotcha. Didn't realize it was to a private school. Assumed it was another public school because his family moved.
And although it was overblown and misinterpreted, Key is the guy that said in a yahoo interview "You have to try to fail at USC"

As far as Chuma Edoga is concerned:
Per Kipp Adams
Would getting Edoga give the inside track to Taj Griffin? Or is he considered a GA lean regardless?

“Right now Tennessee is at the top, with USC and Georgia a close second,” Edoga said. “Everyone else is fighting in the next group.”

Yeah for sure. Don't think Swinney will be a Dawg. Get the vibe that he doesn't like the depth situation

This isn't tSECR. If you want to talk recruiting that's great but don't flame the board.

No flame, just facts

Generally speaking, if anyone actually believes that any recruit is a "Lock" to any school a year away from signing day; they should tested for brain damage. I think there were literally 10 to 15 articles this time last year that described how no expert could see anyway Lorenzo Carter could go anywhere but Alabama. During the subsequent year, the Kamara situation happened, Bama got a commitment from DeShawn Hand, and Carter became enamored with other schools. There are just way too many variables involved in this madness, that change from day to day, for it to be an exact science.

Edoga's leaders are pretty fluid.
He had TN at the top in the fall, then we dropped out of his top group completely, and now we're back at the top.
I'm not putting any bets on him.

Yeah that battle is not nearly over. It appears that both UT and UGA have some staying power in his top group though
