Rashaan Evans recruitment was one of my favorites. From rushing the field when Bama lost to Auburn to all of the coaches attending his grandfathers birthday party the weekend before nsd. Add in the profile on Auburn's official page and you have a total whirlwind recruitment.

Grandpa's birthday party was the Saturday before NSD. Malzahn and his coaching staff scheduled the in home with Evans to be during the party so they could get the last word in. Not to be outdone, Smart and a few Alabama assistants also join the party along with Reuben Foster, current Alabama player and former Auburn commit who was a teammate of Evans at Auburn High School.
Rashaan Evans dad also played football at Auburn, but he didn't amount to much.

Can any UT fans talk about the kid signing in a hot tub while sipping wine then serving seven years?

Michael Brown (DT) chose Florida over Georgia because Florida had paddle boats.

I've heard that Lane Kiffin showed up at the school and walked right past Da'Rick to shake Nash's hand. It was over after that.
Hampton-Sydney.
Where men are men.
And goats are scared.

I remember Coach O getting into a fight with another coach in the recruits front yard. Not sure who though.

Jarrett Fobbs- Athlete, 2011
as the story is told..
had 2 LOIs signed during NSD. one was LSU, one was A&M. he put them both in the Fax machine at the same time and pressed send. halfway through the faxes, he stopped the one from A&M, took the paper out of the machine and kobe'd it in the trash.
he was never heard of again.

Ah the infamous Rashaan Evans grandfather birthday. All the coaches danced and sang to the grandpa. Quite a special birthday for the geezer imo.

In 1999 a local star lineman where I live to the Wisky head coach not to show up for the in home. The coach did show up and was locked out since the family told him their son was going to MI.
In 1993 a linebacker where I went to high school was offered a scholly in Jan. to Wisky and when the Whisky coach showed up several people told the coach you are wasting your time as he will be in jail within a year living in Madison. Well, he got arrested within 3 months and was sent back home and played D3 ball.

I remember reading about a kid who lied about being recruited, then held an announcement day at his high school and "committed" to the school (though there was no offer). Long story short, he was called out by the coach (I think it was Cal), and all hell broke loose.
