Reason #1, he went against his family's wishes on national TV, so he obviously is confident in his choice.

Reason #2, he made his decision 2 years ago, and since then, he has seen LSU go 25-2 and 2-0 over Bama. Hell, he probably will not see Bama beat LSU until 2013 at best, but he still wants to go to Bama.

I hope he has a very healthy, but exceptionally unproductive career at UA.

Reason #3 He bought into Saban being the best defensive coach.

We'll see how more of those DBs turn out in the NFL.

I think he'll stick, but his parents are pissed. I give the dude props,he went against everyone in his family, and all his friends. Even had everything worked out, and then flipped it on his parents. Momma ain't happy, father didn't even go onstage. I don't think I could do something like that at his age, prob not even now. Just wow!

If his family's reaction was genuine, they must really despise his girlfriend.

Ah well, you do dumb things when you're 18. Going to Alabama is a good decision unless his gf tipped the scales. Always dumb to decide your college based on a gf, but it happens every fricking day.

Actually it sounds like that Collins has wanted to go to Alabama for a long time now, he even said this commitment was 2 years in the works, so its more probable his gf didnt like his parents and was just helping pushing him bc of how they treated him.

Good for the kid. As far as being a player you can't go wrong with either school. Good luck to him.

That was my initial reaction, but after reading the ESPN article, I think he more than likely sticks. That's if he has known for two years.

The idea that his parents were shocked by his choice tonight is absurdly stupid.

riiiiight. miles has already visited and didn't close the deal. what's he gonna say in another visit that changes things?

LSUs class is sick. Crazy talented. It's good even w/out Collins. I hope people in LA don't make his life miserable.
