Why would these top athletes want to go to Clemson?? I know I'm partial to the SEC but even if I wasn't, this is freaking Clemson. Just can't see why a big time recruit would choose them.

Dabo knows how to recruit. Which scares me. He will get a long look to replace Saban.

I know a lot of people want this to happen that aren't Alabama fans but why? He's not a bad coach.

They won the Orange Bowl a year ago. Their freshman QB, Deshaun Watson, is going to be pretty fricking good. And they have some pretty solid facilities. Combine all of that with a staff that can recruit pretty well & you have Clemson.

He can't beat his rival at all. And has too many blowout losses for my taste.

Dabo isn't the best coach, he just surrounds himself with great coordinators and can recruit. JMO tho.

We could do worse. I have a feeling that it's gonna be a hard task to follow Saban...and whomever follows him will be under a lot of pressure to keep the machine rolling, just like Perkins after Bear and, to a lesser extent, Dubose after Stallings (both of which were short term hires). Dabo's such a great recruiter that, if he only lasts a couple of years or so, at least the cupboard would be full for whomever would follow him...

Clemson has a great stadium and they're a consistent winner but I couldn't see myself going to college there. I camped there for a different sport in high school and it was a small town that didn't have a lot of charm. It was just small and has a lake.

The ACC sucks arse...and they have recently been decent to pretty good lately so a good way to make noise without huge hurdles on their schedule.

And we have uncovered the reason why I want Dabo after Saban. It's an added bonus if he wins big and rustles all the jimbobs on the rant.

Clemson is close to ATL, which has 6 million people. They also recruit their home state well. I think people really fail to realize how large Atlanta is.

They took advantage of Florida going through a coaching change on top of what has already been mentioned.

Let's ask them.

Mike Bellamy, why did you go to clemson?

That makes sense.

Kenneth Page, why did you go to Clemson?

Ok, thanks for sharing.

Dwayne Allen, why did you pick Clemson?
Post Orange Bowl Loss 70-33 with Dwayne Allen, he said so himself

Thanks for being honest Dwayne.

Sammy Watkins, why did you pick clemson?

The family of a Clemson University football “superstar” allegedly received improper benefits from a Florida hotel executive with close ties to former Tigers’ assistant coach Brad Scott, multiple sources tell FITS.

Multiple employees at the resort have confirmed that the player’s family was put up at the hotel for an extended period in 2010. They have also confirmed reports that the hotel’s general manager – Cory Clark – bragged about the arrangement.

I'm noticing a trend here.

It is what it is, they are good and have been good at recognizing the NCAA is dead, they can make their own rules and everything is in cash.

I don't know what the hell is going on up there but we lose top Florida kids to them regularly. Probably worse than any other school. Even when Urban was at UF and recruiting his arse off with Tebow to help they would still pull kids away from us. CJ Spiller, Jamie Harper, Sammy Watkins, and on and on. 2 more this year. Some of these kids even had pretty good ties to UF in one way or another. CJ was 40 minutes from Campus with a kid on the way. Sammy was cousins with a starting DB on UF one year ahead of him.

I don't know anything about Clemson, but I don't see them having that type of pull. Esp through different coaching staffs.

They have a major pipeline in Tampa for the top players. UF needs to step up and shut it down. Something the old staff was unable to do.
