Clemson consistently bringing in top classes is the biggest head scratcher for sure. I can see why some other schools landing top classes but not Clemson. I think they have SEC caliber bagman.

Dabo isn't the best coach, he just surrounds himself with great coordinators and can recruit. JMO tho.

Dabo knows how to recruit. Which scares me. He will get a long look to replace Saban.

Make it happen. How he hasn't sniffed a natty with all that talent is mind blowing.

He is a better version of Les Miles. He would have won a Natty if he had Louisiana talent + his FL pipelines.

Every Clemson fan I have met straight up admits that Dabo is a solid CEO coach and a heck of a recruiter. They all said that they were scared when Chad MOrris leaves to see how the O ends up. We are about to see

Auburn with a lake. In more than just geography. Lol. IPTAY always present. As a player, you also have a free pass within the area. Note that Sammy Watkins was nabbed while outside of it.

Clemson is a cool city, they have a SEC environment and excellent recruiters. Not surprising they recruit that well

“I remember when I was coaching down at Florida,” Meyer said last year, “we would always lose kids in recruiting battles to Clemson. I would tell my coaches that we shouldn’t be losing kids to Clemson.”

“Charlie Strong responded, ‘Coach have you ever actually been to Clemson?’ I hadn’t,” Meyer recalled. “But I’ll tell you what, I’ve been here now and I get it. This is an exceptional, special place.”

I've been and I really liked it. Stadium and gameday atmosphere had more on an SEC feel to it than being at a Gamecock game.

The town is too small for my liking but I get the appeal.

Also the ATL comment is huge, it is only about an 80 minute drive to DT ATL. Not bad for a kid who wants to get out of big city life and go somewhere close that feels like a "family" environment that still has a big time college football atmosphere.

I don't see how it is hard to get.

The only downside I see for Clemson is the players don't get to go up against top competition week in and week out to better themselves.

it was a small town that didn't have a lot of charm. It was just small and has a lake.

Unnecessary shot at the Gamecocks here.. especially from a Tennessee fan that's ALWAYS posting on Gamecock message boards.

There are 3 schools doing any and everything to land recruits that should be illegal. One is Clemson, the other 2 are in the SEC West.

Mike Bellamy, why did you go to clemson?

That makes sense.

Kenneth Page, why did you go to Clemson?

Ok, thanks for sharing.

Dwayne Allen, why did you pick Clemson?

Thanks for being honest Dwayne.

Safe Place To Sleep

The family of a Clemson University football “superstar” allegedly received improper benefits from a Florida hotel executive with close ties to former Tigers’ assistant coach Brad Scott, multiple sources tell FITS.

Multiple employees at the resort have confirmed that the player’s family was put up at the hotel for an extended period in 2010. They have also confirmed reports that the hotel’s general manager – Cory Clark – bragged about the arrangement.

I'm noticing a trend here.

It is what it is, they are good and have been good at recognizing the NCAA is dead, they can make their own rules and everything is in cash.

South Carolina was placed on probation for three years, ending April 26, 2015.

The NCAA has ruled that South Carolina failed to monitor its athletic program that resulted in various rules violations and has accepted the school's proposed sanctions to cut six football scholarships and slash its official recruiting visits by more than half in the coming year.

There were no forfeiture of games or bowl ban attached to the penalties, which stemmed from athletes receiving $59,000 in impermissible benefits.
