Bama had less yards, missed FG, fumble on the 11 and only won by 3pts

Your defition of “whipped arse” likely needs to change

Yes I agree

UGA underachieved

Maybe the expectation to three peat was an impossible expectation for UGA to meet. I think UGA was a very good team this year but I also think they were over hyped from the start. But again Saban always said it was hard to maintain that edge and maybe that was the issue for Kirby and staff this year.

Ultimately Kirby & Schu were too skerid of Jalin Milroe beating them with the run - spying him with basically two players was a bad choice.

Michigan showed, with a month to study him, how to defend Milroe. On offense, once Mims came out of the game at RT, Bobo got really conservative for 2 quarters and by the time they were aggressive again it was too late.

Arggh, now I am derailing my own thread.

Back to Caleb Downs. A UGA insider now saying 99.9% chance Caleb Downs is a Dawg.

There is sooooo much action on DOWNS now from all sides that I don’t think the odds should be that high for school - Bama, UGA or OSU.

What I do know is Caleb’s NIL deal is probably going to be INSANE.

Question about UGA….when is the last day players can register and start classes there? That has to have some impact on Downs. Unless he’s already given Bama his portal paperwork, they will have 48 hours to enter him in.
I know for a lot of schools that portal deadline is about to hit…Auburn’s is tomorrow, they have to be registered to start classes by then.

I guess the other option is they could sit spring semester out, it’s not like a player like Downs would miss a beat in that scenario. Not ideal but if you want out that might be the only option at some point.

The time has passed for drop/add - he would have to get an exemption from school.

Given the nature and timing of Bama/Saban retirement and holdup of Caleb transfer portal processing paperwork - the exemption would likely be granted.

Thanks for the response. Didn’t know an exemption from the school was an option.

Exemption is an option - but that button has never been pushed before - so we will see.

As stated before, there are clear reasons why it likely would/could be considered and the juice would be worth the squeeze.

Could have easily added on another TD at end of game. Defense was gassed.

They weren't gassed at all, Milroe made a good cut for the first down and back tracked to the middle where the play wasn't meant to go

Bama barely cracked 300 yards of offense and 114 yards rushing total

There’s no hold up in processing paperwork. The kid isn’t in the portal and after he meets with Womack today and he still isn’t then he is probably staying. I would say it’s more likely than not he’s staying at this point despite the obvious tampering by both osu and ga going on.

This is because we had a double digit lead and were trying to milk clock in the second half. Bama dominated that game.

Bama won the game. But pump the breaks. UGA plays their A game and it's likely a different outcome.

Literally gifted you a TD on the very unusual fumble.

We will see you in a few months

Lol a three point win off a missed FG, gifting you a score off a fumble, and the refs missing a blatant no catch. All while being out gained in yardage. You really need to look up the word domination.

I think Downs is staying. Probably have a few more hit the door but that’s it.

And it would appear no amount of tampering can get him in the portal. Looks like he is solid.
