I think he sees himself as a better fit as well for LSU if he is keeping in touch.

Is he a current take for LSU? Or are you waiting to see what happens with some other DTs?

May be seeing quicker playing time at LSU versus Bama.......Will have to see how the official this weekend goes. If they want to lock him down, they will try to, if not......oh well. Have to believe that the coaches know best.

LSU wants to take at least 2 DTs. There are none committed. I imagine Valentine is higher on the board, so he's most likely priority #1.

New Interview on BOL: Dwight is solid, and is shutting his recruitment down. Kirby Smart visited him today. Smart doing work.

LSU "insiders" are getting crushed lately. 5for5 and now a day after saying he is going to end up at LSU he "Shuts down his recruitment"

At first I wasn't high on him, but then I've read where staff sees him as a possible Marcel Dareus type. Smart seeing him today and Dwight shutting down his recruitment at the same time is no coincidence.

Lsu insiders were crushed on this one? I'm not saying that have been great but that statement is a bit over the top...

Not crushed today but just in general it seems that way as of late.

Since he shut down his recruitment I feel like he may be the best DL prospect in the past few years.

Every recruit from LA that commits to Bama is overrated. That was especially clear with Lacy. It's a shame a mini-Ivy League school such as LSU had too high of grade requirements for him. He would have really made a name for himself in the SEC.

Anyone who doubted lacy's football ability is a fool....he was a beast in high school and nobody doubted that.

No one thinks MD is a lock, and Dwight was the one reaching out. Smart obviously assured him he was a priority at Bama. Your statement was over the top.

I'd say most thought MD was a lock back when many though 5for5 was a lock. It just goes to show that no one ever knows what is going to happen, ever.

I would not want to go to Vegas with any of the LSU insiders. Just yesterday Jimmy was saying that it would be surprising if Dwight was not a part of LSU's class. Now he has shut it all down.
