Didn't Grant walk-on as to avoid signing an LOI? He can pay for a year, then be on scholarship as a Jr and Sr and it only count towards the 85.

I can't find an article anywhere saying that Saban did or didn't release Grant, but speculation in several articles when he chose to transfer to Auburn was that Saban would not release him so Grant would have to walk on so he wouldn't have to sit 2 years.

I just saw Pat on campus decked out in AU gear. Highly doubt he'd be on campus in his gear with an Auburn tat on his arm if he was leaving.
