Seems like a more apt comparison.

I have never had a problem with Anderson's coachin, just his recruiting. The Whitt/Kapita/Doobie class could have been his kiss of death but he had picked it up. '17 needs one big and will be great. '18 will be great, as we should add Henderson and Desi soon. '19 has potential top 100 player in Justice Hill already.

Desi just committed.

He may not be here long enough to coach these kids.

He is very intriguing. His speed in getting from one end of the court to the other is a big question.

However, you can't coach 7-4 and especially 7-4 that can shoot very well from outside, not just under the basket.

Would he be an every game big piece of the puzzle? Don't think so. But there could be times where we find ourselves up against a team where he could be a big asset.

I would bring him in and see. If it doesn't work, I'm sure he wouldn't have a problem finding another school with a style that fits his talents better.

ETA: Assuming he would even want to be a Hog in the first place.

I'm just stopping by this thread to see what it's like to be excited about basketball recruiting. As an LSU fan, with Johnny Jones as coach, excitement about anything basketball related is a foreign concept.

Carry on.

I'm wondering about his interest in Bama as well. I know he's visited Bama a few times and his brother plays in the band here as well. If he has a commitable offer to both Bama and Arkansas, it'll be interesting to see what he may do with the ties his parents have to Arkansas but also now having family at Alabama.

Why would you not 7'4 with a shot? How has having a team full of "athletes" done since Andersons got here? Wouldn't you at least like the option to be able to play half court basketball?

The kid will have to gain serious weight and show he can carry it to be worth a shot, if not, he's that Tuba player LSU had basically.

He was also a 99 rated 5* #15 player in the country at the end of February.

He's dropped all the way down to an 88 rating 3* #143 overall currently.

Not saying he isn't worth taking or anything, but being super tall doesn't mean shite. From what I understand he got tore up by other top end bigs on the summer circuit and thus his rating plummeted. His development has stalled per Jerry Meyer and they had to drop him.

Reminds me of I just Steven Hill, only far worse at this point.

He has a hell of a lot better outside shot than I just Steven Hill and probably a better inside shot as well.

No, it won't be interesting if he has commitable from both.

I don't typically agree with Hawgalude's alter, but if we don't make the NCAA tournament this year, especially if we're not even close to making it, shite could get interesting. I also think a lot of people on this board will sing a different tune.

We'll be close, fairly confident in that. Too early to say NIT or NCAAT with too many new players that have been here for a month.

JUCOs generally struggle year 1 and then bust out year 2, but we'll need one or two to be strong this year immediately.

Jeff has him locked up through 2020... It doesn't matter.

The way he's recruiting after the busted 2015 class he'll at least get a chance with all these kids in 2017 and 2018 classes.
