This is a kid that is a victim of early hype, ratings the services do with high school freshman.

He got beat out for the starting QB job in high school when another highly touted kid transferred in and that lead to Town transferring to a different high school. When he got to USCw, he already transferred out.

Good luck with this headcase.

Needy QB's rarely make it big in the upper levels of the sport.

The same could be said of QBs who never start. Every other position in football has some sort or rotation involved, whereas a QB can be locked out of seeing the field because of experience ahead of him despite being talented.

How good Town is and could become can be questioned, but you can't question that he is a good prospect with some prototypical things you want in a QB. If i were in his position and saw the writing on the wall, I'd bolt too.

He can't consider Alabama because we play USC next year. Not because he was once committed to Alabama. But regardless, it's a moot point. The ship long ago sailed.

Otis posted yesterday that he wouldn't be surprised if we pursued him. Which in Otis talk means one of the coaches already tipped him off and he's wording it that way so he can circle back and get kudos from the board.

Well I certainly wouldn't complain if we got him. Young QB competition is good.

I think Enos loves Ty. I don't think Enos likes Rafe or Austin.

Are we basing this on interviews alone or is there some inside knowledge there...I would have thought Rafe would have passed Austin at some point...guess not

Rafe should've been able to beat out Austin by this point...

But if he loves Ty then why bring in Town since he is in the same class? I doubt Town would come here unless Enos told him he'd have a good chance at being a starter.

All hypothetical at this point obviously lol

Because having 2 good QBs is better than having 1.

Would be a great get for Arkansas

Arky needs to pull this guy in... Even though he quit early at USC the kid is a top prospect and would do well in their offense..

What little MaxPrep tape I watched on Town looked good. Of course, that's the point of a highlight tape...

I'm trying to not be so presumptuous. Several have echoed what you said, but we already have 5 QB's who were rated 4*'s in high school. You may be right and Enos may not like what we have on campus, but it's not like the numbers aren't there.
